LIST PHYSICAL ATTACKS AND EFFECTS: Kadin is not a very physical individual in spite of the fact that he is in excellent physical condition. He isn't trained in any sort of self-defense, and doesn't really know how to fight using any weapons.
 
LIST MAGICAL ATTACKS AND EFFECTS: 


Flight: Kadin is capable of flight, and is capable of carrying one other person with him, but while he could maintain his flight alone indefinitely he's not physically strong enough to carry someone else for the same duration.


Manifestation: Kadin is capable of making mundane objects appear out of seemingly nothing. He usually carries a backpack around with him and uses it to disguise this trick. Thus he rarely summons anything larger than what could be summoned out of it. That being said he could in fact create larger objects, but this is not a 'trick' that he can perform endlessly. It taxes his body and thus he's careful to summon only what's needed in a given situation.


Illusion: Kadin is capable of creating illusions of things appear in the air. These illusions have no scent, no physical presence what-so-ever, and so their ability is somewhat limited. Furthermore his illusions are harder to maintain the larger they are. 


Body: Kadin is not indestructible, but there are few weapons or spells created which can harm him. Even the most powerful magical items barely glaze off of his skin. This is a natural effect of being a being of magic. Magic recognizes him as a like thing. This of course comes with its own drawbacks. 


Wish I: Kadin is capable of granting another person's wish. This is a powerful ability, but it comes with severe limitations. Firstly, it must be a truly spoken desire. Something that the person truly wants with all their hearts. Secondly, it forces Kadin to reveal his true nature to that person (a fact which he is very, very rarely willing to do). Thirdly, it is excruciatingly painful. Fourthly, due to Kadin's own inexperience with his abilities there is a possibility that the wish will be twisted (see Wish II).


Wish II: Not all wishes are created equal, and at times even the best of intentioned wish can cause calamity. There is a 50% chance that any wish granted by Kadin will result in the worst possible outcome. A monkey's paw wish if you will. Imagine wishing for fame and becoming a notorious criminal. Wishing for a loved one to come back from the dead, but they do so as a ravenous vampire with insatiable bloodlust. It turns what might be a dream into a nightmare.


LIST MISCELLANEOUS ATTACKS AND EFFECTS: None.
 
LIST PHYSICAL WEAKNESSES: Kadin is no more powerful physically than your average twenty-six year old athletic male. Not stronger, not faster. He seems rather human when it comes to physical abilities. Kadin's body is magically immune to most spells and weapons however, but antimagic is his bane. Placed in an area where no magic exists at all would cause him to quickly wither. Furthermore cold iron burns him, and could be used quite effectively to bind or hurt him. Possibly given enough time - even to kill him.
 
LIST MAGICAL WEAKNESSES: Magically speaking, Kadin is very powerful, but most of his magic comes at a price, or cost. However the biggest price that he p pays for his power is the sure knowledge that it can be used against him and any he loves. Magi and those like them are the most capable of trapping him, and using his powers for their own ends. For Kadin is a Djinn. A powerful being yes, but trapped he is a mere genie, bound to lamp and servitude. A fact he well knows, and for this reason there is a great risk to him every time he reveals his nature; every time he casts a spell.
 
 
- CHARACTER'S PERSONALITY -
 
ATTITUDE TOWARDS OTHERS: Verbose and easily excitable, Kadin enjoys hearing the sound of his own voice. He has very mixed feelings about humans in general, seeing them both as inevitably flawed and yet... he adores them. The things they create and their compassion, their emotion, are beautiful to him. He enjoys people-watching as a sport, and he seems endlessly patient. There is another side to Kadin however. He is secretive, and reveals nothing of his past or his true nature with anyone.

- CHARACTER'S HISTORY -
 
PAST HISTORY: Kadin is a prince in his homeland. A prince in a land of princes. The ancestral lands which are meant to be his when they are passed from his father to himself are small and insignificant in the grand scheme of things, but rich in power. Kadin's father wanted nothing more than for his son to become a leader in his own right, and take over the reins when the time came but... Kadin was awestruck the moment that his nurse led him to the edge of their holdings and he first saw the sun hovering between day and night. All he could imagine was the world beyond the darkness. A world full of dangers that his father warned him of yes, but a world of wonder nonetheless. One he longed for himself. Adventure, yes, Danger, yes. But freedom. Freedom from the ties that shackled to him by his perceived fate.


Eventually, he ran away. Seeking out that other world and finding himself stumbling across the border. He hasn't spent much time in the 'human' world, but he's enjoying every second of his freedom that he can get.

WEAPONS/ITEMS: Karasu has access to a number of weapons at his disposal. Everything from handguns to sniper rifles, katana, and other various tools of his trade. He prefers long-ranged options when he has the option, but for stealth a katana or his bare hands are preferred.

LIST PHYSICAL ATTACKS AND EFFECTS: Karasu is well-trained in the art of self-defense, his style of fighting is a mix of several kinds of martial arts which he has formed together for an effective and deadly method of attack. He can use nearly any weapon to his advantage, and is not adverse to using the environment or even random objects as tools to achieve his goals. Yet, while he is a prodigy when it comes to mundane fighting, he is not inhuman in his capabilities. His strength is human strength, his speed is human speed.
 
LIST MAGICAL ATTACKS AND EFFECTS: Karasu has a unique... psychic ability. He can, if he chooses enter the dreams of others which he has seen or met, and control what happens there-in. Since most people are not capable of lucid dreaming, he can use his ability to extract information from others without them realizing that he is real, or even kill (though he has to actually kill the person in the dream to accomplish this goal). This ability is very draining on Karasu, and doing it often is damaging to his heath.


Due to Karasu's ability to enter the dreams of others, he has penultimate control of his own dreams, and his own mind. His dreams can not be entered unless he gives permission for someone to do so. It is also MUCH more difficult than usual to enter his mind through psychic or magical powers. While holding off a mental attack that lasts for days, weeks, or longer might be taxing for him, it would be nearly impossible for a casual effort to enter his mind.


Secondly, Karasu is capable of seeing spirits, ghosts, and demons. Even when they're trying not to be seen, they are visible to Karasu's discerning gaze. Furthermore, he has the training and experience to know how to summon (and at times control) said creatures. He is still limited by the necessities of having on hand whatever it is that is necessary to summon and control said creature, but usually knows how it might be gone about. For instance: He might know how to summon a certain type of demon, but not a specific one (as you need the name of a demon in order to control it), or he might know the name and then be capable of summoning and controlling it, but the summoning ritual might require something that he doesn't possess such as a gold idol of the demon, or specific herbs, or ritual human sacrifice (all of which he might be able to procure - given enough time). He does not possess a preternatural knowledge of spirits, ghosts, and demons, but rather has an accumulated knowledge, and experience which he can use to his advantage.
 
LIST MISCELLANEOUS ATTACKS AND EFFECTS: None.
 
LIST PHYSICAL WEAKNESSES: Karasu is human. He has human strength, and human speed, heals like a human, and breaks like a human. He shares all their weaknesses and all their strengths.
 
LIST MAGICAL WEAKNESSES: Aside from his psychic ability, Karasu is... human. A spell would have the same effect on him as it would any other man. He has no special defenses or abilities when it comes to magic.

ATTITUDE TOWARDS OTHERS: Karasu is a cold, distant, calculating individual. He rarely speaks without thinking through whatever he is saying first, and will not speak at all if silence will do. He is practical, and seems to others to have no moral guideposts. However lurking beneath his icy exterior is someone who never breaks the code of honor that he has created for himself. It's simply that his rules are not the same as those of most people, and the lines he is willing to cross are vastly different from the average individual.

- CHARACTER'S HISTORY -
 
PAST HISTORY: Born to a loving, devoted family, it might have seemed from the outside like Karasu had a normal life. This was far from the truth however, for his parents were both yakuza, and they trained him from the moment of his birth to join their criminal organization. It was a life that Karasu took to easily, and he quickly showed aptitude as an assassin. Until that is his brother was born, and that's when his life became divergent. Seeing his brother look at the world with innocent eyes; look up to him as if he was something to be admired filled him with sadness. For his brother he turned to the police, telling them everything about his family. The police asked him to work undercover for them, and so he fed them information for years. 


Eventually they put that information to use, and they used it to turn the yakuza against his family. Using him. He was the instrument of the yakuza against his parents, proving his own loyalty to them by murder. All his brother knew was his betrayal, that he was the one that had killed their parents, and not the why. For the police still had need of Karasu undercover and so he remained their black pawn, moving through the underworld feeding them information. It wasn't surprising then that his brother joined the police force. Hoping one day to hunt down Karasu and get his revenge by putting him in jail. 


What Karasu is aware of this, and in guilt believes that he deserves nothing less for his lifetime of killing. So, he spends every day working in the hopes of some kind of redemption which he knows he can never achieve.
 
GOALS/MISSION: In action his goal is to continue feeding information to the police as long as he can. Secretly however his one desire is to make peace with his brother before he dies.

They tell a story of a life of fighting various kinds of evil and being human enough to show the marks thereof. Other than that, she has no distinguishing marks.
 
COSTUME: She wears causal clothes with a long coat over it to hide her handguns from the prying eyes of civilians. When she knows she's going into a fight she throws on some Kevlar and calls it good to go.
 
WEAPONS/ITEMS: 

Snick and Snack: Snick and Snack are modern handguns with specially made home-brew bullets. Depending on what she's hunting, Rayne might change out the bullets so as to do better damage. She usually carries a home-made holy water filled bullets, cold iron bullets, silver bullets, and normal mundane rounds at various locations on her person.

Cricket: For close-combat she carries a small knife with a lattice-wrapped handle that she affectionately calls 'cricket'. It is a normal blade by all rights.

Baby: Given any advance warning that it might be needed, or if her car is handy, Rayne has a sniper rifle. This heavy-duty weapon is capable of taking out a target at great distance and Rayne is eerily good with it. It can be modified quickly to fire any number of kinds of bullets that are deadly in their purpose.

LIST PHYSICAL ATTACKS AND EFFECTS: Rayne has been extensively trained in self-defense with an emphasis on using an opponents strengths against them. As noted above, she carries a number of different kinds of ammunition and weapons so as to be able to handle herself in whatever situation might arise. That being said, her strength is human strength and her speed is human speed. The only thing that might be considered above the normal human quotient is her ability with firearms. Where she fires, she hits more often than not.
 
LIST MAGICAL ATTACKS AND EFFECTS: None.
 
LIST MISCELLANEOUS ATTACKS AND EFFECTS: Given the proper amount of time to plan in advance, Rayne is capable of retrieving any reasonable weapon. Flash-bangs, grenades. What have you. This is not a supernatural ability, just that she's funded by a government agency and they know better than to question her requisitions - so long as they're within reason.
 
LIST PHYSICAL WEAKNESSES: Rayne is no stronger, no faster than any average human. She doesn't heal faster either as her many scars are more than willing to attest to. Thus she has all the strengths and all the weaknesses of your average person.
 
LIST MAGICAL WEAKNESSES: As above, Rayne has no preternatural or supernatural resistance to magic. She is a stubborn woman who knows her own mind and so it's not easy to control her mentally, but it could be done given time to break past her natural resistances. But not more difficult than it would be with any other stubborn human. Furthermore any other spell would affect her just as it would affect any other human.
 
 
- CHARACTER'S PERSONALITY -
 
ATTITUDE TOWARDS OTHERS: Rayne is... complicated even under the best of circumstances. She's a stubborn woman, and one quick to temper. She's as likely to start a fight as to end one. She sees the world largely in black and white. Good is good. Evil is evil. But that being said she does understand that there are gray areas. She just prefers not to linger in those areas. That being said she's very aggressive toward the things that she perceives as being evil, and she sees killing them quickly as the most positive result. She tries to be patient with civilians, but she's not very good at it, and tends to be a rip-the-bandaid-off sort.

PAST HISTORY: Rayne's birth was the death of her mother, and so she was raised by a single father who never expected that his wife would die in childbirth. It could have embittered him, but he loved Rayne with all his might, and so he raised her with all the love he could manage. He wasn't the most expressive of men, and his work kept him busy more often than not but she never doubted for a second that she was his priority. When she grew up she knew she wanted to be: A police officer. She passed all the tests for it easily enough, and joined up right out of school. A few years into being a police officer, her superior suggested that she might actually do better in the FBI and so she applied. To her surprise it wasn't the FBI that showed an interest in her though. It was the SCC. They picked her up and put her to work fighting evil and she never once looked back.

WEAPONS/ITEMS: A pair of long thin twin blades which are identical by appearance. They are a hand and a half longer than a traditional English-styled sword, and appear at first glance to be Japanese swords made of a thin folded metal but close observation reveals that they are bladed on both sides.

LIST PHYSICAL ATTACKS AND EFFECTS: Falin is a master swordsman. There are VERY few people who can match him in the art. Furthermore he heals quickly, is stronger, and faster than the human norm. His hand-to-hand combat capabilities are not quite as good as his skills with a blade, but he is nearly anyone's equal in physical combat of any sort. All that being said, his speed and strength are at the peak end of human capacity, only slightly bordering on supernatural, and his healing rate is fastest when he has the time to meditate and focus on healing himself.
 
LIST MAGICAL ATTACKS AND EFFECTS: Falin can set either of his blades on fire at will. He has mastery over three forms of flame. 
The Burning Flame: A simple burning fire. It acts exactly like normal fire. Usually it is light blue in color until it catches onto something at which point it reverts to a more natural shade of flame color.
The Consuming Flame: This white fire clings unnaturally to anything it touches. No amount of water will put it out, and will actually cause it to burn brighter. Suffocating the flames works better, but it is quick-moving and voracious in nature. Quickly consuming anything it touches and transferring to anything touched by that which it is consuming quite easily.
The Dying Flame: This is a black acid-like fire. It moves... most unnaturally. Almost with a mind of its own. It can not be dispersed by water, by earth, nor by an other obvious source. It can disappear in the shadows and reappear in other places. One can only wonder at it's true nature.


Falin can teleport himself or large groups of people by cutting complex holes into the spaces between dimensions (the actual process of this is quite complicated and he has absolutely no desire to explain it in detail). This process takes some time to accomplish so usually he uses it only when he doesn't think combat is about to happen or if no one else is available to teleport everyone. He is also capable of teleporting himself by enveloping himself into his own shadow and simply reappearing elsewhere.


Falin can create a silver dome to protect a small group of people by weaving his swords through the air. The dome is immune to most any kind of magic, but while it is active he has no active means to offer an attack. Nor can he maintain the dome indefinitely as he must continually weave his swords physically in order to maintain the dome.


Falin is a mage, his ability with magic somewhat difficult to tell and it's origins are known only to him. He rarely actively casts magic however. Again for reasons known only to him. He has on occasion however spoken words of power that have stopped time, held enemies in place, and changed the nature of reality in small measure. These things however are rare indeed, and done only at great need.
 
LIST MISCELLANEOUS ATTACKS AND EFFECTS: ---
 
LIST PHYSICAL WEAKNESSES: Falin's flesh is not preternaturally hard. Which means that he is every bit as easy to harm as any human - if you can hit him. He heals quickly yes, but it is not difficult to cause him damage. He is fast, but some are faster. He is strong, but there are stronger. More often it is his skill that keeps him alive than it is anything else.
 
LIST MAGICAL WEAKNESSES: While at first blush Falin seems a terribly powerful magic-user, his most powerful magics are rarely if ever used. He can personally number the times on a singular hand. As a mage his most powerful skill is his seeming lack of an END to his magical strength, but when he does use his most powerful abilities, or fight for extended duration, it is clear that using his powers does have SOME manner of strain upon him. - It is simply unclear how or why.

ATTITUDE TOWARDS OTHERS: Falin can seem distant, and aloof if honorable, particularly at first meeting. He's never cruel, and is usually extremely understanding, but he is a man wholly willing to do whatever he thinks he might need to do. If someone threatens someone he cares about, he will not weep over the corpse he creates. That being said... He is a loving, devoted, and loyal man to those who earn his respect, and to those who he trusts.

PAST HISTORY: Once, far into the past Falin lived a quiet life. Until a man named Michael discovered his magic, and jealous of his wife Aviline decided to act upon that terrible emotion. He set his men upon Falin, and though Falin bested them, the swordsman found out that his wife had been taken hostage in the forests outside their home. He rushed to her aid - to late. He could only watch as Michael stabbed his wife in the chest and dropped her lifeless body to the ground. Falin blindly rushed to her side anyway, trying to stem the flow of her life from her chest... to no avail. While he mourned her, a circle of magic was brought to life around him. 


In a blind rage Falin tried to kill every single man who worked magic against him... it worked. They died to a man where they stood, but their magic worked too. He was bound into a timeless void for what was meant to be an eternity. The void was a terrible space. It existed in all time, and yet out of time, so that he was constantly conscious of himself, and of the passage of time moving. Worse, while he was trapped in that void a group known as the Silver Circle learned how to summon him. Binding his body to their summons. Even with that, they could not control his spirit, but they spent centuries torturing him. Summoning him in order to kill him and banish him back to the void. The experiments, the horrors which they enacted upon him are to numerous and to terrible to list.


They drove him mad.


He lost all sense of himself when he was summoned. All sense of time and who he was. He became a mindless puppet, a raving madman, a crying child begging for release whenever he was summoned. Only to return to the void. Conscious of everything he had done and the horror which he had endured. It took decades for him to find the slenderest hope of freedom. By tearing tiny pieces of his own soul from himself and forcing them through time one drop at a time, he managed to form for himself a new body.


This body grew it's own consciousness and was birthed by a human woman. He was named Menel.


When Menel turned 16 his body reached full maturity, and Falin was able to touch very light upon the edge of reality. Yet he only could do so in the most extreme of circumstances. When Menel's body was killed, or when the young man was driven to the need to kill. Menel's own code of morality and skill with a blade meant that Falin was not summoned for the first time in order to protect him until he was 25. 


Falin was summoned and confused, angry, unknowing that it was Menel's - his own - doing he blindly took hostage the closest person at hand. A five-year-old girl. Rather than fearing him the child reached out. Reassuring him that everything was okay. In return for her kindness Falin solemnly swore that one day he would return the child - Olette - to her mother, and then... he vanished. Returning the body they shared to Menel who remembered nothing of the incident. 


Thus began an odd sequence of events. Every time Menel's life was in danger Falin was summoned. Often confused, often angry and lashing out at even those who tried to help him. Menel remembering none of it later. Eventually Menel was told, and the swordman feared that this unknown part of himself would someday harm or even kill those he cared about. Everything came to a head when a Sorceress known as Salina found Menel. Interested by his unique soul, she tricked Falin into believing that his love - Aviline was alive, and that if he obeyed her she could reunite them. It was not untrue, but it would have meant the death of an innocent woman and in the end when Salina was killed by the wish of a single woman wielding an Angel as a weapon, those that loved Menel and Falin the most were offered a choice: That Menel live and Falin die. That Falin die so that Menel might live. Or that their souls which had once been one be forever separated from one another and that they would there-after be two separate men. The women chose unanimously for the final option and the two men became at last two men.


Finally, at long last Falin was free. Free to love the woman who had stolen his heart at the tender age of five, and who as a woman had rescued him from an unending void and given his life back to him. For indeed Olette had been one of the three women to make that choice.


Though they faced many trials after that (including the sorrowful disappearance of Menel who was taken by an enemy force and not seen from again), the two remained quite close, and to this day Olette remains in Falin's heart. He can not forget her, and he seeks her once more.
 
GOALS/MISSION: Where have you gone my love? I will find you, though I search a billion universes and endless realities. You who once saved me, do not forget that my heart is ever yours.
