Resetting the Board Empty Re: Resetting the Board

Post by Dark Sun Jan 18, 2015 11:01 pm

The night brought with it a rainstorm; lightning flashed, water fell in a thick curtain, hiding beneath it any strange happenings. Where once a large space of land had been a lot for sale; it soon became a mansion with a dark gate at its front, black stone wolves on each side looking out at the street; a sprawling garden sprouted behind the mansion, a large hot house to be found in a corner of the garden.

Inside the mansion, a lone male walked through the silent halls, making his way into a library; with a flick of his hand, one of the walls behind his desk opened up to reveal a staircase leading down to a large space; room after room filled with ancient texts filling the bookcases carved into walls. Flasks of hundreds of sizes with many colored liquids bubbling, iced, and still, within them were set in two rooms, tables full of them, while in yet others, tanks made of glass, creatures within them, floated; eyes closed.

One lone room was an oddity; on one side a garden of ice, within this icy garden the clear tanks held a different type of liquid; the water glimmered like white starlight, and within it slept a being; his sleeping sister. The other side of the room held a garden of life; roses, tulips, green trees bursting with blossoms and fruits, while grass grew beneath them and in this glimmering crystal tank slept a young woman with brown-blonde hair; her sorcerer's outfit floated around her as she slept, and the staff which made her so dangerous, lay on the grass of the garden.

The male only passed by this room, moving into another room deeper in; one with little else but a dark desk and a stone floor carved into it a circle with many runes edged in. He began to chant, the runes on the dark stone lighting up, flashing upward an image, almost like an aurora borealis. With a flick from his fingers, the male parted color after color until he reached what he was seeking.

"Arise from the darkness my Shadow Servants; take shape and materialize before me; by right of contract, I command you forth!"

Dark beings began to rise from the circle, so many that it seemed it must be an army, yet all fit within the circle. Four figures stepped forth, the only group that held human features; one was a tall, bulky, red hair male dressed, like all of them, in black smoky armor. The two other figures were thinner, held black hair and looked like copies of the other; and finally in the middle stood a lone female, only blue eyes peeking out from behind her helm.

The four knelt before the man, the female speaking. "You call and we obey, Mage of Ages. What is your will?"

"This world has been at peace for far too long,' the Mage said, icy blue eyes focused on the three. "For my plan to proceed as it must, the darkness must wake, and in order for that to happen, the dawn to be found in this world must stir." His hand rose, pointed. "Find the glints of dawn in this world; make them move."

All four knights bowed deeply. "As the Mage of Ages wishes it." Like a shadow, the dark army disappeared, leaving silence in its wake.

He was forced to his knees, the angelic council sitting on raised seats above him. "You have been accused of overstepping your position and casting judgment on a soul,' an angel to his left spoke loudly, an opened scroll in his hands. "How do you plea?"

The dark hair angel sneered. "That disgusting soul had it coming; I did the universe a favor by destroying it."

"Enough!" An angel in golden armor stepped forward, his presence holding the very existence of the sun around him, and his glare was a powerful one. "Riquel, that is not your duty; do you understand what you have done?"

Instead of answering, Riquel looked away, his gaze only  rising when he saw the dainty feet of another angel; the daughter of the sun angel, step forward to stand at her father's side; her green gaze looked down at him with sadness, regret and...resignation.

Riquel knew this angel; was a friend of hers, had been since the day they had been born. Seraphims were created; angels like them were born, and the two had grown up together, much like siblings. He understood what would happen now and if he could, he would curse at the council for it.

She gave a light, sad sigh. "I am sorry, Riquel, but for this...you cannot escape punishment." Her hand rose, pointing at him. "I wrap your wings of light in darkness, and I cast you down to Earth to live amongst humans; may they someday help you find redemption."

"No!" Riquel shouted, struggling to break way from those holding him fast. "You can't!" His tone was panicked, his dark blue gaze large. "That disgusting place! I can't-"

The blonde angel shook her head, green gaze glimmering with unshed tears. "Goodbye my friend."

Darkness wrapped around Riquel, plunging him down into it no matter how many times he tried to flap his wings; a dark sky appeared above him, rain pouring down into his form as he continued to fall, finally slamming into wet grass; Riquel stayed there, breathing deeply, feeling pain for the very first time in his existence.

His mouth opened, a scream pouring out of his throat as he slammed a fist into the wet floor, uncaring of the pain. "Curse it!" He screamed, surprised that he could speak the words. "You're condemning me to an eternal hell!" He shouted at the stormy sky. "For one ugly monster!" Redemption...it was out of his reach now.

The young man appeared under the awning of a closed bakery shop, his midnight blue hair appearing black in the dark of midnight. 'That took far longer,' he thought, running a hand through his hair.
He had left on this journey when he was fourteen, telling his mother and father he would return as soon as he could...that had been almost five years ago...he did not look forward to their reactions.

'Well, I did say I would return as soon as I could. This is what I managed.' Akirin had left because he'd found Excalibur in the lake surrounding his parents' home when he'd fallen in. Akirin had been taught how to wield it, but it hadn't been enough; that's why he'd left, and in his journey he had come across the rest of his blades. After that...Akirin's journey had become tougher, one after another opponents had shown up to fight him in order to win his swords. Akirin had almost been killed several times, and through trial and error, he had learned...was still learning.

'My sisters are going to kill me either way...if my father doesn't.' With an inward sigh, Akirin leaned against the glass pane, starring out into the rain. He was in no hurry to get home.

**********************

"Get out!" The man pushed the white hair girl into the rainy streets, slamming the door of the restaurant behind him; the girl caught herself before she tumbled down to the wet floor, turning around and glaring at the closed door. "Yeah, well, if you didn't really mean all you can eat, you shouldn't have advertised it!" She shouted. "I paid for that meal!" Huffing, she turned and started down the rainy street. 'So much for the midnight buffet.' She thought, pouting.

It was the only reason why Rhys had decided to stay awake, going out into the rainy night instead of staying in under her soft, cuddly blankets. Sliding her hands into her pockets, she walked down the street, the rain oddly enough, not touching her.

It had been almost a year since she'd arrived in this town; compared to her world, this place was backward, not nearly as advanced, but Rhys liked it; it was quiet, what's more, it was normal and gave her the peace of mind she'd been searching for since her grandmother had tried to turn her into freaky devil. Hell no, she wasn't going in that direction.

Yawning, Rhys decided it was time to go home; she could go in search of breakfast tomorr-later on in the morning.

Resetting the Board Empty Re: Resetting the Board

Post by Raijinken Mon Jan 19, 2015 3:28 am

A dark alley was briefly illuminated when a sphere of white light appeared...then quickly vanished, returning the passage to darkness, but not before dropping a figure onto the cold hard and wet ground. There was also a brief clang as something metallic also emerged from the glowing orb.

He laid there, prone on the ground, a young male who thanks to his height, looked about 13 or 14 but was actually 17. He was clad in what looked like the remains of a red t-shirt with the letter 'R' and part of a 'Y' on top of a '7', written across the front. However anything else was cut off, exposing a pale, muscular chest with several bruises and burn marks...most noticeably the chain-link burn pattern spiraling down his right arm.

He also wore a pair of camouflage pants, with the left pant-leg almost non-existent with how much of it was missing, also exposing bruised and burnt flesh. He was also missing the left shoe, with the right pretty torn up.

The rain hammered on his prone form for several moments, but then suddenly, he began to stir. His bright green eyes opened slowly, and were immediately stung by the falling water. "Dam-mit..." As he wiped his eyes clean...as much as he could as there was still a glazed look in them. Ugh...that was one fucked up dream!" He'd been run out of town, fought off some mechanical monsters only to be taken somewhere by them...and then the rest was kind of a blur. But after waking up in familiar surroundings; a dank rainy alley, he was clearly back in reality.

The teen picked himself up, stepped forward. "SHIII..." And was right back on the ground! "What the..." Looking back, and saw what caused him to fall. It was a rather ornate looking long sword with a large jewel embedded in the hilt. It was a good thing there was still part of his shoe left as there's ENOUGH blood covering the blade...or rather was, as the rain has washed some of it away. the blood trickled into a nearby storm drain and because it was so dark in the alley, he was unable to see the dark glow that the crimson liquid emitted.

With much of the blood gone, he was able to make out something, it looked like a flame-pattern? "I think I've seen this before." Not just in the youth's dream but somewhere else Not wanting to just leave the thing there, because he knew the residents of Darilshade well enough that the instant he left; someone would snatch the sword up and quickly pawn it. So he grabbed a hold of the hilt and exited the alley then turned onto the street. Thanks to the rain, poor lighting and something in his system, the teen was completely unaware that he wasn't where he thought he was. Far, far FAR from it...far!

Resetting the Board Empty Re: Resetting the Board

Post by AshK1980 Mon Jan 19, 2015 7:30 pm

While the rain was falling outside, five young ladies ranging in age from thirteen to eighteen were in their penthouse apartment just hanging out. All of the young ladies were in the kitchen except for Hibiki Hojo. She had been banned from the kitchen by her fiancee Kanade Minamino because of her tendency to sneak food away when no one was looking. At the moment, Hibiki was in the living room watching TV with a white and pink cat on her lap, she was stroking said cat between her ears, the cat's name, was Hummy. "I can't believe it Hummy, why would all four of them ban me from the kitchen? I live here too."

Hummy Nyaed and smiled, "it's because you sneak food away before it's time to eat. Honestly Hibiki, how many times has Kanade told you not to sneak food away? Even our new friend Furura agreed with Kanade that you shouldn't be allowed in the kitchen during food preparation."

"I know, I know," Hibiki sighed, then continued, "it's just so hard to resist such good cooking. I live here too, so I should be able to help out as well."

"Well then stop eating everything in site Hibiki Nya!" Hummy said as she continued to purr from the contact of Hibiki's fingers in between her little ears.

************************************************************
In the kitchen, the other four Suite Cures are putting the finishing touches on the meal, it seems Ellen and Ako loved the taste of Furura's spaghetti. Kanade then called Furura over as she was putting the finishing touches on her cupcakes before she put them in the oven, Furura turned the spaghetti down to a simmer and asked Ellen and Ako to keep an eye on it.

"What's up Kana-Chan," Furura asked curiously, "do you need my help with anything?"

Kanade pointed to the range oven sitting right next to the counter-top stove, "Could you please set the temperature to 375 degrees Fahrenheit and let it warm up? I'm going to go check on Hibi-Chan to make sure that she is behaving herself."

Furura nodded and smiled as she did as asked when Ellen spoke up, "I'm sure Hibi-Chan is fine, she has Hummy-Chan to keep her in line."

Kanade giggles and smiles as Ako speaks up, "though I'm not really sure if Hummy can keep Hibiki in line, she is so unpredictable."

"I agree with you there Imoutochan." Furura said with a smile as she did some final adjustments to the cupcake batter in the pans.

Resetting the Board Empty Re: Resetting the Board

Post by Dark Wed Jan 21, 2015 6:01 pm

Humming under her breath, Rhys walked down the street, her steps almost a march to her humming as she headed home. 'I still have that left over lasagna my neighbor gave me,' Rhys thought. 'I was saving it for breakfast, but I could totally go for some right now.' Her neighbor was an old lady who couldn't believe a young girl like Rhys lived alone...and getting that little lie to run had been damn annoying, but heck if she was staying one of those orphanages they called 'homes' in this world.

'Okay, I'll just ea-' Red eyes blinked as a flash of light caught her gaze from a distance. 'What the...' She tensed, now ready to take flight at a moment's notice. 'It can't...no, just relax, there's no way grandma and her cronies found a way here.' But what the hell was that then? Some idiot blinding himself with his cell phone light? "I,' she turned around. "Did not see anythiiiing." Whistling to herself,  Rhys very determinedly started walking away, paused, and after a moment silently cursed herself as she ran down the street to the alley; her curiosity overwhelming her sense of caution. 'Just a tiny peek.' But as she got closer, a figure walked out of the alley. 'That what it was? I can totally take him if I need too.' Just some kid walking around in drags...probably over did it with whatever he was hyped up on.

"Hey, kid!" Rhys called, giving a wave. "If you're looking for the local shelter,' she pointed back up the way she'd come. "It's that a way; take a left when you get to the restaurant that says 'all you can eat' don't be deceived by it, it's totally a lie. And keep heading straight for about fifteen; you'll see the sign."

*****************************

Akirin started down the wet street, his trench coat glistening with the falling rain; he could have made it stop raining on him, but he knew better than to stand out, even in the smallest ways; when he wanted to remain unanimous, blending in was the best option, and so he let the water pour down on him, his hair darkening with the drops of rain that caressed it.

The young man paused for a moment, his pale gaze flickering one way then the other, trying to remember if he'd been here before. 'If I remember correctly...this street should be the one.' Not that he would be getting home anytime soon; the mansion was outside of town, in its own wooded area, and while he could simply teleport himself there, Akirin rather preferred walking; it gave him time to think, to enjoy the sounds of the city. It was something he hadn't done in a while; Akirin suddenly stopped, his head tilted to the left, tilting further, light eyes narrowed as he turned in another direction and stared.

'He's here...and he brought trouble.' So much for heading home; this night would be far too loud to sleep...at least for him. Akirin jumped, landing atop a building, his gaze focused on something only he could see.

A shadow hung outside the penthouse window, now and then dirty golden eyes stared inside; watching the girls inhabiting the place. It gave a hissing laugh then scurried away to the next window where it could see the girls in the kitchen. Another hiss of laughter as it scurried off, disappearing into shadows.

Inside the apartments, the light began to flicker, as if they would go off, but just as suddenly stopped; several seconds went by and suddenly the lights shattered, dumping the apartment into sudden darkness; in the kitchen, they would find the stove suddenly lost all power, the heating going out of it as if some unknown force sucked it into itself; golden eyes flickered to life in the shadows near the kitchen entrance before disappearing.

"Come little children,' a hissing voice echoed through the penthouse. "Death awaits...whether you will it...or not." Laughter echoed and the door to the apartment blasted open, while if any of the girls looked at the window, they would see it begin to crack...a dark figure in black on the other side staring in at them; the window shattered inward.

***********************

Tired of pounding the ground, his hands bloody with it, Riquel lay face up on the grass, starring up at the cloudy sky. For the first time since his birth, he was feeling hungry, tired, and in pain. So many unpleasant emotions and sensations that had him gritting his teeth, fighting against them; he hated them! hated them with a passion he had never felt before, and it consumed him as he lay there; his body disobeying Riquel's command as his teeth began to chatter, his skin prickle with cold, his breath broken by trembling lips.

Sighing, Riquel sat up, then stumbled to his feet, unused to the physical pull of Earth's gravity. 'This body...is weak...' And his punishing it had just made it worse, making Riquel wish he hadn't been so stupid and started pounding the grass until the skin split; a useless endeavor now that he thought about it.

Cursing, simply because he could, Riquel looked up into the dark, heavily clouded sky and closed his eyes. 'Bell...I wish you would have just erased my existence.'

"Hmm?" While he wasn't paying much attention to his surroundings; when a girl's voice called out to him, there was something he took note of. (Kid? Doesn't she know who I am?) As there were wanted posters all over town...many posted on top of OLDER ones. This girl also mentioned a 'shelter' and an 'all you can eat place' being a total crock, to which he replied. " Par for the course here, you're lucky those thieving assholes gave you anything that wasn't just cooked dog crap."

He had a hunch this girl was new in town, and with that. "...And stay away from the shelters, if you want out with at least SOME of your belongings, just leave town now and DON'T look back!"

"I feel someone watching us," Furura said worriedly as she clung onto Ellen for dear life, "I have a bad feeling. This peace is about to come to a screeching halt."

"We can't transform with someone watching us," Ellen said as she too clung onto Furura for dear life.

"We need to find a place that's safe to transform," Hibiki said worriedly, "but we have no idea where anyone would be watching us from besides a camera, and all the cameras are out."

"What do we do Hibi-Chan?" Kanade asked worriedly as she looked around, "does anyone have a flashlight? Oh and Ako we have to be very careful how we address this situation. Any ideas?"

"Sorry," Ako said with a shrug, "I for once have no idea what to do, how about you Hummy-Chan?"

"No, I don't nya," Hummy remarked worriedly, "right now we have to figure out some way to get out of this building safely."

However, a thought occurred to Furura as she got the attention of the other Cures and pointed down the hallway toward the bedrooms immediately letting the other four know where it would be safe to transform. The five cures made their way down the hallway as quietly as they could and entered Furura and Ellen's bedroom. Once they were inside the bedroom, they closed and locked the door quietly. Furura waved her hand over her Ocarina turning it into her Cure Module while the other four just raised their modules up. The five Cures quietly said their transformation phrase "Let's play... Precure... Modulation!" Once they said that they quickly transformed into their Cure Forums and waited in a corner in the bedroom.

Resetting the Board Empty Re: Resetting the Board

Post by Kagami Wed Jan 21, 2015 8:57 pm

The air rippled and split, seemingly taking on the form of teeth set into the sky above Tokyo's streets.  The black line that formed grew wider, as each 'toothed' section rose or fell in opposition to its counterpart, opening up like the maw of some beast with a sound similar to a record being dragged around by one's fingers.  Within the black void that opened up, something stepped out, setting a booted foot upon empty space as the figure left the darkness behind.

White hair blew in the slight wind that formed, tied back as it was in two lengths from ball-like buns on the side of the woman's head, trailing down to her knees.  The woman looked to be in her late teens, or maybe very early 20s, yet there was a sense of something unnatural about the age.  She was dressed in what could conservatively be considered to be 'punk' chic, with ripped jeans and t-shirt, and a studded belt at her waist.  Fingerless black gloves, one leather and one fishnet, adorned her hands, the former of which rested on the hilt of a katana hanging from the belt.  Yet the two features that were perhaps the most telling of her nature were the bone-like tiara upon her brow, and the hole that was only partially covered going straight through her torso...

Golden eyes flicked open as they gazed upon the world.  "Saaaa....  Well, it's better than what it could have been..." she muttered, as the opening behind her came to a close, leaving her hovering in midair.  "Still, it's not home.... Not yet anyways...  But that will change soon!" she said with a smirk, and with a short hop from her place in the sky began to descend silently to the Earth below, aiming to land in the darker streets of the city...

***************************************************************

"Have a good evening!  Take care!"

"I will, and thanks again!"

The view of a waitress of a bar wishing a customer good night as they left wouldn't be an unknown one, indeed it was a regular occurance, but the customer did not always have a shock of odd-colored hair attached while still being so young, nor were they always so helpful even though they didn't work at the site in question.  Yet that was the scene, a seemingly normal event that would go unmarked by the world as a whole...

And to Emiya Shirou, that normality was a breath of fresh air.  He'd just gotten back to Japan from England after three years at the Clock Tower, and had unceremoniously been told that he was being put on forced leave... "Vacation" as a certain demon woman had put it.

Now, admittedly he could be a bit of a workaholic, but Shirou derived a bit of small personal pleasure at helping people, and there was a lot of that to go around.  The fact that this led to more than a few Apostle hunts didn't change that, but apparently he'd been getting a reputation, and reputation brought scrutiny.  As Rin would say, "No good deed goes unpunished."

And as usual, it was the little magus that did the punishing...  Sometimes the young woman who had become his tutor in the ways of magecraft was worse than the various enemies that he faced off against.  At least in their case, he knew that dealing with them was as simple as a foot and a half of steel to the gut, but women were a mystery he had yet to unravel.  The fact that Rin was the only one who truly understood his distortion made it all the worse, and it didn't stop the black haired Tohsaka heiress from exploiting every one of his weaknesses...

The little minx...

Still, she was the one responsible for his current break, as she'd explained to him in classic Tohsaka Rin Lecture Pose #3: "You cannot keep pushing yourself to the breaking point, or eventually you're going to slip up.  It wouldn't kill you to take it easy for a bit and just relax for a bit you know?  Clear your head for a while.  To be a magus is to walk with Death.  If you screw up even just once because you pushed yourself past your limits it would kill you!  Do you delight in being a masochist Emiya-kun?"

The fact that she was his senior in magic meant that Shirou couldn't claim that she was wrong... Indeed, he'd nearly killed himself more than a dozen times in his lifetime now by pushing the boundaries far closer than he should have...  Still, did Rin HAVE to threaten to take away his cooking privileges if he didn't agree to a break?  Or have Saber back her up with her line of 'Exhaustion is the Enemy'?

Sighing, the young man ran his fingers through his hair.  It was a deep red that was interspersed with pure white strands now, a side effect of his continual Tracing.  Within a few years Shirou doubted there'd be anything left of the rust-red shade, and would bring him one step closer to looking like That Bastard... Ah well, no use thinking about it... Not yet anyways...

"Ah, no,' Rhys replied, her nose wrinkling at the thought of eating dog...stuff. "If they did that, the health department would shut them down." In a heartbeat...hopefully. "As for the shelters...' She shrugged. "Sure they're not the best place, but I stayed there for a bit when I came here and it wasn't that bad." Rhys was starting to get the feeling this kid was either seriously high on something or... her eyes narrowed, studying him a little closer, opening up her senses to see if she could pick up on something...and she did.

"Oooh,' Rhys said in realization. "Hey listen kid, I don't know where you dropped in from, but I think,' she pointed a slightly elongated nail that looked as if had been carefully filed to a sharp point, though Rhys never bothered with it, at him. "You're the one that's upside down and turned around." She gestured with her hand to the city around them.

"Try looking a little closer; this place's name is Tokyo, Earth by the way. Not,' she flicked her hand. "Wherever you come from, so I suggest you don't go talking about weirdo stuff cause you're totally gonna end up in the loony bin. Anyway,' Rhys made an about turn, taking a deliberate first step. "Good luck with that; you know where, the nice, shelter is. See yah." Whistling, she started down the street once more, certain of one thing; she was not getting involved with weirdoes from other...places, they led to weird stuff happening and getting noticed by even more weirdy weirdoes. No thank you!

Glass shattered inward, spilling onto the floor as the creature from the outside stepped in, his dark shod feet crunching the glass beneath its feet; as it came closer, it would be clear to see it wore dark, smoky armor that covered its body, only the golden eyes stared out at them beneath its helmet. The armored creature held out its right hand to the side and a large sword appeared in it, the shadow creature brought it forward, pointing it at the girls.

"Unless you wish to die; I suggest you prepare yourselves for a fight." Its hissing voice spoke; it waited only a second then launched itself at Ako, sword slashing.

Resetting the Board Empty Re: Resetting the Board

Post by Dark Fri Jan 23, 2015 10:29 am

Akirin's eyes narrowed as his senses flared; his head jerked up, starring up through the rain at the unnatural fissure already closing, the figure descending; black wings flared up behind him as he took off, his hand curling around the hilt of a silver sword, its blade glowing white.

He paused as the figure descended, coming closer to reveal what looked like a young woman...yes, he had seen her type before; one of them had almost cut his head off!

"That's far enough, Hollow,' his hand rose, the glinting, white blade that seemed almost like a flame pointed at her. "What business do you have in this place? Depending on your answer, I may just have to kill you." And if the hollow was looking for the blonde...well, pity, Akirin could already sense the young woman was not in Tokyo at the moment, and he needed to get rid of this problem before he went in search of the one already brewing somewhere in this city.

*************************************

He had left the park and now walked through the darkened, dank, streets of the city. Riquel had never been fond of the earthly smell; it was mixed with the toxic fumes humans created, the garbage, the smell of humans; the very atmosphere made Riquel feel disgusted, heavy and weak. Unfortunately for him, that had not gone away, though he could tell it would...at some point or another.

The thought made him grit his teeth in what seemed close to despair, and definitely disgust; he didn't want to get used to this world, he wanted to leave it and return to Heaven's pristine planes; still..he couldn't curse the little angel, she had tried to go easy on him...pity no one told her this was the worst fate he could imagine.

The physical body far to heavy for him now, Riquel found himself tumbling to the street, then jerking himself up when he heard the sound of voices; grey blue eyes focused on a human male with red hair streaked with white before the angel dismissed him, focusing on getting to his feet; he had only managed it when his senses flared.

'Ah, shi*,' it still startled Riquel that he could curse, but that took second place to what his senses told him, and his gaze scanned the shadows, searching. 'There!' Shadows rose into his grip, forming a long sword Riquel used to slash the creature as it jumped out, reaching for his throat; the shadow creature chuckled as it disappeared, yet another appeared to Riquel's left, and the red headed boy would soon find himself surrounded by them as well; all shod in dark, smoky, armor, and between Riquel and Shirou stepped out a stocky man with long, braided red hair a shade brighter than Shirou's.

"Greetings,' he said in a low, rumbling voice. "I come at the behest of the Mage of Ages." The man brought his hands up to his sides, shadowy blades appearing to float around him, pointed at the two. "He bid me bring you a message; you will either be strong enough to triumph, or you will die here." The blades flew towards them while the shadowy knights raised swords, waiting for a moment to attack.

Cure Beat summons her weapon and strums the Strings. "Beat Barrier!" Once she does that a barrier covers up the Muse and the Cures around her. Harmony then nods to Tiry and summons forth her Purification Weapon. "Precure Music Jingle!" The attack goes through the barrier and heads straight toward the intruder lighting up the room.

Harmony then motions toward her fairy tone Shary as she holds up her Miracle Tambourine and Shary connects to it. "Suite Precure Weapon Form Change! Tambourine Quarter Staff Mode!"

"Sory! Now!" Beat said as she holds up her guitar, Sory attaches itself to a slot in the guitar activating the effect. "Suite Precure Weapon Form Change! Love Guitar Rod Soul Rod Mode!"

"Now to play a shining melody in the key of B!" Muse said as she blew into her Cure Module ready to send out her attack.

"Come out Tone Ring!" Melody, Rhythm, Beat and Harmony declared.

"Precure Music Rondo!" Melody declared.

"Precure Music Rondo!" Rhythm also declared as she too sent out a ring. While Melody's was pink, hers was white.

"Precure Heartful Beat Rock!" Beat exclaimed as she created her green tone ring.

"Precure Harmony Ring!" Harmony exclaimed a she sent her orange tone ring toward the intruder.

"Precure Sparkling Shower!" Muse exclaimed as she combined her attack with the  other four.

The Suite Cure's waited in anticipation to see if their attacks hit.

Resetting the Board Empty Re: Resetting the Board

Post by Kagami Fri Jan 23, 2015 3:32 pm

As Shirou walked along the sidewalk, a man stumbled down the street, dragging himself along in a rather pitiful state.  Frowning, the salt-and-rust-haired magus started making his way towards the man, intent on offering his help.  He almost got his mouth open to call out when something tickled his nostrils though...  Something that smelled like charcoal, feathers, dust and water...  It stopped Shirou cold, preventing his voice from coming out, as his instincts sparked.  For him to be able to smell something at this range, that meant it wasn't a normal scent, but prana.  Every magus could detect it, the energy by which spells and mysteries were actualized, but rather than a 'sixth' sense, it normally manifested as a form of overlap with another sense.  Rin could detect it as a phantom touch on her skin, but for Shirou, it manifested as smell.

Forewarned as it was, the wannabe hero was not caught off guard as the Shadow knights formed.  Rather than panic, his response was to center himself and mumble...

"Trace on..."

His body heated up briefly with the activation of his circuits, even as another red-haired man stepped forth, creating several blades of shadows.

"Greetings,' he said in a low, rumbling voice. "I come at the behest of the Mage of Ages."

Shirou gritted his teeth, even as he lowered himself to a crouch, pulling something in his pocket.  Why did things seem to go like this at the WORST of times?  Either he managed to piss off one of the remaining gods and was suffering their misfortune, or it was his own E-ranked luck that brought this about.  Still, this was NOT a good situation...  Pulling out a small piece of quartz, one that Rin had taught him to make, he set it onto the ground and poured a little of his prana into it, actualizing the pre-made spell within the jewel and causing a small bounded field to envelop the area.

Bounded fields were something every magus used at some point in their lives, if for no other reason than for privacy.  This one was just a mild one, meant to contain stray bursts of prana, sound, and light.  In all honesty, it could probably be popped with a thought if someone thought to, but then again most magi abided by the unwritten rule that you don't allow non-magi to discover the existence of the supernatural.

"He bid me bring you a message; you will either be strong enough to triumph, or you will die here."

'Too bad nobody told that rule to this guy...' he thought to himself, attempting to dodge the black blades that flew his way.  Too bad these weren't actual swords or maybe he could have gleaned a little more from them...  Stepping back into the circle of Shadow knights, Shirou grimaced.  "You know, it's rather rude to attack someone without introducing yourself first..." he directed, building up his prana again as he put his hands at the small of his back beneath his coat.  Green light flashed for a second, before twin chinese swords appeared in his hands, one a pristine white, the other a flat black with orange hexagons along the blade.  "You wouldn't happen to be working for one of the old families, would you?"

******************************************************************

Kagami's eyes widened as she saw a man alight on the rooftop next to her designated landing spot, and with a small burst of reietsu redirected herself away from his blade.  As the man spoke, she tilted her head.  "Hmmmm.... Such hostility.  And yet you say that word without a hint of fear... I take it that means you already know what I am, hmmm?" she questioned, before cupping her chin in one hand and the elbow in the other.

"Well, I suppose I could take that either way...  I mean, the fact that you know what a Hollow is means that I'm not likely the only one, which could be good or bad depending.  On the other hand I can't help but be a little angry at you for threatening me like that...  Did your mother drop you on your head as a child perhaps?" Kagami said, her acidic personality coming forward.

(The Health Department? HERE?) When heard her response to that place serving Dog crap. "Yeah you wish, just like there's actual law and order here. His vision was still quite blurry and so he couldn't tell that the girl was examining him before she spoke next; saying that HE was the one who was 'upside down and all turned around', before turning to leave.

"Uh, no...I know where I am! And what's this 'Tok...YO!"" The teen quickly shielded his eyes as a pair of lights appeared in the direction he was heading. "Dammit that's bright!" While continuing to shield his eyes as their source; a large truck approached him with it's horn blaring.

The sound of the vehicle's horn caught the teen's attention and he looked ahead to see some large metal monstrosity...slowly approach. "N-no it can't be!" Immediately his mind was flooded with images of other glowing-eyed, towering metallic creatures that looked 'not of this world'. The ones on the ground unleashed bursts of energy from openings in their bodies, while those in the air rained balls of fire down upon him as they descended from a hole in the sky. He next recalled being ushered into a large darkened room, lit only by stuff on panels and other devices...filled with those creatures with those compartments opened trained on him.

A distorted voice came from somewhere, asking him to take hold of this bloody sword that one of the creatures was holding...like he had any real choice as he suddenly felt heat build up all around him and could see sparks emanating from several of their openings. The sword looked bloody and as he approached, it looked like there were sparks flying off of IT as well...it's just that the ones from the creatures were bigger and numerous.

Everything beyond that was a blur, or rather blare as that horn kept going. "Urrr, you son of a..."  With his hands now balled into fists he ran...straight FOR the vehicle and immediately start punching the grill...and punching and punching. Though his knuckles were bleeding he cocked his right arm back. "DIEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!" And launched it forward while winds began to spiral around his arm. When his fist made contact, the large vehicle suddenly lurched back about a meter. The front end was mashed up leaking fluid and the glass from the windshield and both door windows of the cab had been reduced to dust, and inside the cab the airbag had been deployed.

Back outside the boy was breathing heavily as he watched the mechanical monster bleed to death.

"Ahhh, that was a YUMMY buffet!"

"Yeah, I felt bad for that girl that got kicked out, though...it did say all you can eat."

Two young women exited the restaurant, clinging to the sides of the buildings to avoid the rain. The shorter one with blond hair gave her stomach a contented pat while the other, taller, strode calmly to her left, long, brown strands clinging to the side of her head from the rain that made its way just under the awning.

"Hey, Natsuki..." the elder sister glanced at her younger counterpart.
"Yeah, Mori?"
"Do you think...do y'think they're all gone? The Reapers? We haven't seen one in at least a month. It's just been...so quiet. We've never had peace like this since we left the Game."
Natsuki jumped in front of her sister. "So? Why worry about it? That's great! No more Reapers, no more Game...if it stays like this, you could even go back to school in the fall again!" She gave Moriko a playful punch. "I know you miss those lectures and labs so much."
Moriko stepped past her sister, continuing to walk. "Just...reality, really. That's what I miss."
Natsuki paused a moment before turning around and catching up to her sister. They walked in silence a bit before hearing a large screeching sound.
"Whoa!" Natsuki jumped at the sound.
"Sounded like a car accident...at least, I think."
"Let's go check it out!" Natsuki was off before deliberating, running into an alley that connected to the next street over.
Moriko lightly touched the Players Pins in her pocket. She secretly prayed there wouldn't be use for them. "Nat...NAT! HEY!" She called after her sister, jogging behind.

As they exited the alley, they saw a rather bizarre sight: instead of a car accident, a car slayed, like a dragon. A young boy stood before the truck, whose front end was smashed in. The driver was just stirring, pushing away from the airbag as if waking from a hangover. The girls exchanged looks of confusion.

"Sorry, sis...no normal tonight." Natsuki gave a smirk and a shrug.
"Whatever. I'll triage the driver, can you see what's up with Sir Psychopath?"
Natsuki gave a nod. Moriko headed to the truck, speaking to the driver and slowly helping him out. Natsuki cautiously approached the boy, keeping her Player Pins in hand, just in case. That sword was DEFINITELY not fake.
"Ummmm...hey there..." she gave an innocent wave. "Are you okay? Was there an accident here?" the young girl offered her free hand. "My name is Natsuki. My sister is training in medicine. Do you need some help?"

Resetting the Board Empty Re: Resetting the Board

Post by Dark Mon Jan 26, 2015 4:06 pm

The armored shadow jumped away, avoiding the first attack from the Cures, and slunk back into the darkness, circling the barrier around the Cures; it reached out a dark hand, about to touch when one of the girl's attacks came at it. The creature once more avoided the first attack, but was unable to move fast enough to avoid the rest; it hissed, the shadowy body tumbling end over end through the air, slamming into the wall on the other side of the room and with a hiss of smoke, disappeared, leaving behind only a stain of what looked to be ash on the floor.

"Oh, bravo,' another figure stepped into the light, a cloak of darkness over her shoulders, down her back. The young woman was not like the other creature; she had curly golden hair that fell to her waist, small ivory horns almost lost in the locks, and dressed in light red clothes, her golden eyes watching the Cures with a light in them, her bright red lips curled into a smile. The young woman clapped slowly as she approached, then tapped a finger to the barrier.

"You can let it down now, I'm not going to attack you." She held out her hands, took a turn, showing that she had no weapons. "My name is Rillesil; I'm here to...' she held out a hand. "Help. Your group isn't the only one that was attacked; there are others out there in the city who are in the same danger." Rillesil stepped back, giving the Cures space. "Would any of you care to help me find them?" She inquired.

************************************

The red head man watched Shirou's actions, but seemed uninterested in them, he made a gesture and the blades floating about him flew at Shirou, while the boy would find two of the armored shadows moving to attack on his right, but before the creatures could close in, a long blade brought them down, the dark haired, once stumbling man standing behind them as the creatures disappeared into a black fog.

"Leave human,' the man said, grey-blue eyes unreadable. "You'll get in the way." Riquel shifted his attention to the man with the floating blades, glaring. "Who the hell's this 'Mage of Ages' you're talking about?" He demanded. "And why target me...' he paused, glancing at the red headed boy. "Us?"

The man gave a grunt. "Those are his reasons; I merely follow orders." More shadowed warriors appeared, surrounding Shirou and Riquel; without a word, they attacked the two, while the man stood by, watching them.

"However, I do have a...proposition..." He said. "Join us, serve the Mage of Ages, and you shall know power beyond your imagination or...' his gaze settled on Riquel. "Gain revenge."
The angel jerked in surprise, giving an opening for one of the creatures to strike a slash down his right arm, red blood pouring from it; black wings spread out from Riquel's back and he jumped away, leaving Shirou to defend himself while the angel grasped at his injury, breath coming faster. It almost looked as if he were feverish, as if he would faint; inside his head, Riquel could head the word repeat itself in an incessant echo: Revenge.

He was so focused on his thoughts that the fallen angel didn't see the armored creature creep up behind him, blade raised.

Akirin's eyes narrowed. "Oh, I know what you are, creature." The blade in his grasp seemed to glow brighter, perhaps responding to his tone of voice. "But no, I haven't seen one of your like here, and as soon as you are gone, there will hopefully be none left." His lips suddenly curved into a smirk. "No, she never dropped me, but from what I've been told, a God did try to possess me, and over the years, many have tried to kill me." The smirk grew. "As you can see; I'm still here." He dashed forward, blade slicing through the air to strike Kagami, but at the last second a screech from above pulled Akirin's attention.

A break in the clouds revealed the moon, yet it was eclipsed by the large dark shadow flying down at them; the creature looked like an immense bald eagle, but it was wholly made of darkness, its limbs seemingly covered by armor.

Akirin moved away as the creature dashed their way, slicing past where the two had been moments ago.

"Your pet?" Akirin asked the hollow, his tone acid. "So are you the one that brought the shadow servants here to break the peace of this world?"

The creature shifted its flight path, racing back their way; it opened its beak, letting out a screech so strong, the force raced towards them like a tidal wave.

***********************

"Go find out!" Rhys called back to the boy as she deliberately took steps away. "But it's not like I didn't already tell you; Tokyo's in Earth." The sound of a car beeping had Rhys turning back, watching with wide eyes as the boy stayed in its path...no...he actually...

Rhys winced, closing her eyes as she heard a crash, then slowly opened them when she heard the sound of voices. Two girls, one racing to help the driver while the other approached the boy.

"I wouldn't do that,' Rhys called to the girl. "He looks like he could go off at any second...and with that sword..." She passed a hand over her face, inwardly wondering if it was too late to run away, but...she couldn't just leave...she supposed. Unfortunately, Rhys knew what it felt like to be confused...not hyped up on drugs, but definitely confused.

"Hey kid,' Rhys started forward, pointing at the machine. "That is called a car; humans use them, as in they sit inside." She glanced at the girl who had introduced herself as Natsuki; her senses told her this one wasn't quite a normal human either...good, then Rhys wouldn't have to knock her out so she wouldn't remember. "My name's Rhys,' the girl said. "Now, will you inform him what the name of this plane-"

Her heart thumped in a way familiar to Rhys; it did that whenever something bad was coming at her. She looked around, red gaze scanning their surroundings. "I hope you and your sister can fight too,' Rhys said grimly. "Because-" She didn't have to finish; creature after armored creature stepped out of the darkness, all holding blades pointed at them. "We hate to interrupt,' two men stepped out of the darkness; unlike the other warriors, these two had no helmet, and their faces could be seen; identical in every way, from their dark, short hair, to the blue of their eyes.

"But we're here under orders,' the second one spoke in the same voice; the two snapped their fingers and the warriors rushed in to attack the three girls and one boy. "You will either triumph,' the two spoke in unison. "Or you will fall to our blades. So is the command of the Mage of Ages."

Beat was about to drop the barrier, but Melody stopped her. The barrier wasn't a wall so sound could be heard from both sides, Melody was the first one to speak up, being the leader and all, "We've heard that before and fallen for it and ended up getting attacked. I think we will just stay behind this barrier as a safety measure until it wears off. It only lasts a half an hour at the longest."

Kanade nodded in agreement with her Fiancee, "Please explain your intentions truthfully, and we will think about dropping the barrier before the time limit is up."

"Your horns aren't helping the matters any either," Ako said to Rillel, "we aren't sure if we can trust you at all so we are just going to stay behind here and listen if you don't mind."

"That's right," Furura and Ellen harmonized.

Hummy then spoke up, "Nyaaaaan, we can't be sure whether you can be trusted or not. We can see and hear you just fine from here."

OOC: I hope this is okay, let me know if I need to edit it.

Resetting the Board Empty Re: Resetting the Board

Post by Dark Mon Jan 26, 2015 8:05 pm

Rillesil set a hand on her hip, a smile playing over her lips as the girls spoke. "Well, that's a wise decision,' learned from the past it seemed. "My truthful intentions..." She mused; true, Rillesil could tell them, but then...the group of girls had just revealed something to her.

"Well, I'll give you another piece of advice,'s he told the girls "Never tell someone on the other side of your barrier that it has a time limit; I could just,' she crossed her arms over her chest. "Stay here, quietly, and wait until that limit is reached, and when it is...attack you." Rillesil gave them a wink. "Mind you, I did say I'm not here to attack."

As for her true intentions... "Alright...how about I tell you a little story then,' Rillesil said, sitting in the nearest chair; she crossed one leg over the other, set her hands on her knees and spoke. "So, I said my name is Rillesil, but that's just what I was told."

                                                       ~~~~~Flashback~~~~~
She came too, coughing water from her lungs while someone gently patted her on the back. "Are you alright now?" The blonde looked up, meeting icy blue eyes behind glasses. She wiped water from her face, and with the man's help, stood. "Who are you?" The blonde asked.
The man stepped back, giving an elegant bow. "I am your fiancée,' something flickered in his gaze even as she stared at him in surprise. "You're what?" The young woman blinked, searching her memory for any trace of this man...of anything including her name; she couldn't find any of it.
Feeling as if she were about to panic, she felt the man set a hand to her shoulder, giving her a gentle pat. "It's alright; the truth is that you, like them,' he gestured at two large clear tanks in which figures slept, floating in clear, glimmering water. "Contracted a disease I have been working on curing for quite some years...I am uncertain I have found a way quite yet, but I need your help." He wrapped his hands around hers, warming them as she stared up at him. "Your name is Rillesil, and you are far more precious than you understand." The man leaned down, setting a kiss to her forehead; from the touch, a feeling seemed to seep into Rillesil's body, and any hesitation, doubt, confusion; it all melted away to certainty.
"Now,' the man stepped back, pushing glasses higher up the ridge of his nose, the glass hiding any thoughts in his gaze. "I have a mission for you."
~~~~~~~~End of Flashback~~~~

"And he told me what's going on,' Rillesil said with a smile. "He told me to find the first to destroy one of the creatures, which was,' Rillesil flicked her hand in the groups' direction. "You. So no, I'm not here to fight you, I'm here to help you..." After a moment, her lips tipped into a smile. "For now, but if my orders change, I promise to give you a heads up before I attack."

Natsuki turned her attention to the white-haired girl that joined her side. She barely got a chance to re-introduce herself, nor ask how she knew the boy and his strange predicament, when armed creatures appeared, along with an identical pair of warriors.

"H-heyyy...Mori..." Natsuki called out. Moriko turned her attention away from the driver long enough to notice the oncoming slew of creatures; it didn't take much to convince the driver to take cover in a nearby building. The formation of the creatures forced Moriko toward the other two girls.

Moriko glanced to the white-haired girl. "Yeah, we can fight, no worries."
"Mori..." Natsuki whined. "These guys don't look like Reapers or Noise though..."
"Who cares," Moriko quipped as she plucked a Player Pin from her pocket. "New look, old motive. Nat, my other dagger, if you would."

The younger sister gave a nod as she handed the small blade over. Moriko put the Player Pin in a small notch in the blade's handle, and pronounced, "Deku Tree!", which caused wooden armor to appear on her arms and legs. She then grabbed the other dagger from her hip, settling into a stance before the twin warriors.
Natsuki pulled out a Pin of her own. She set herself so that the Pin, in her outstretched arm, angled toward a nearby streetlight. "Sunny Day!" she proclaimed. Energy from the streetlight bounced off the Pin like an amplifying mirror, sending a beam of light energy toward a cluster of the armored creatures.

The man stepped back, giving an elegant bow. "I am your fiancée,' something flickered in his gaze even as she stared at him in surprise. "You're what?" The young woman blinked, searching her memory for any trace of this man...of anything including her name; she couldn't find any of it.

Feeling as if she were about to panic, she felt the man set a hand to her shoulder, giving her a gentle pat. "It's alright; the truth is that you, like them,' he gestured at two large clear tanks in which figures slept, floating in clear, glimmering water. "Contracted a disease I have been working on curing for quite some years...I am uncertain I have found a way quite yet, but I need your help." He wrapped his hands around hers, warming them as she stared up at him. "Your name is Rillesil, and you are far more precious than you understand." The man leaned down, setting a kiss to her forehead; from the touch, a feeling seemed to seep into Rillesil's body, and any hesitation, doubt, confusion; it all melted away to certainty.

"Now,' the man stepped back, pushing glasses higher up the ridge of his nose, the glass hiding any thoughts in his gaze. "I have a mission for you."

~~~~~~~~End of Flashback~~~~
"And he told me what's going on,' Rillesil said with a smile. "He told me to find the first to destroy one of the creatures, which was,' Rillesil flicked her hand in the groups' direction. "You. So no, I'm not here to fight you, I'm here to help you..." After a moment, her lips tipped into a smile. "For now, but if my orders change, I promise to give you a heads up before I attack."
Beat smiled then looked toward Hummy and Melody and so did Harmony and Muse. "So what's the verdict Hummy-Chan? Melody-Chan?" Harmony asked of their leader and their fairy.
Melody and Hummy put their fingers to their lips and Melody smiled as she turned Rillesil, "Truth be told, I was just guessing that there was a time limit for the barrier, but this barrier has been up for twenty minutes and it's not waivering. Maybe there isn't a time limit."
Beat shook her head no, "There isn't a time limit, otherwise I would have surpassed it by now with all the times I used and left it up in our fights, sometimes those fights lasted two to three hours and the barrier I put around people stayed."
Rhythm face-palmed, "honestly Melody, nothing was ever said about a time limit for the Beat Barrier, how could you think of something like that."
Muse rolled her eyes, "Seriously, come on Melody! A thirty minute time limit would've been bad in all of our battles if that was the case."
Hummy then brought their attention to the topic at hand, "Nyaaaan, I think we are getting off topic, I think we should accept her help, but keep an eye on her just in case. Nya."
Harmony nodded and motioned for Beat to drop the barrier, which she did, she then spoke to Rillesil, "We still are going to be cautious, but we will follow you. However, if you try anything, we will counter. Is that fair?" The ten Fairy Tones then landed on their Cures' respective shoulders, Dory and Mery on Melody's shoulders,  Rery and Fary on Rhythm's shoulder, Lary and Sory on Beat's shoulders, Shiry and Dodory on Muse's shoulders, and Tiry and Shary on Harmony's shoulders. The Barrier was now dropped, but the Suite Cures kept their distance just in case as they waited for Rillesil to lead them.
Resetting the Board  Empty Re: Resetting the Board
Post by Kagami Tue Jan 27, 2015 6:48 pm
The red head man watched Shirou's actions, but seemed uninterested in them, he made a gesture and the blades floating about him flew at Shirou, while the boy would find two of the armored shadows moving to attack on his right, but before the creatures could close in, a long blade brought them down, the dark haired, once stumbling man standing behind them as the creatures disappeared into a black fog.
"Leave human,' the man said, grey-blue eyes unreadable. "You'll get in the way." Riquel shifted his attention to the man with the floating blades, glaring. "Who the hell's this 'Mage of Ages' you're talking about?" He demanded. "And why target me...' he paused, glancing at the red headed boy. "Us?"
The man gave a grunt. "Those are his reasons; I merely follow orders." More shadowed warriors appeared, surrounding Shirou and Riquel; without a word, they attacked the two, while the man stood by, watching them.
"However, I do have a...proposition..." He said. "Join us, serve the Mage of Ages, and you shall know power beyond your imagination or...' his gaze settled on Riquel. "Gain revenge."
The angel jerked in surprise, giving an opening for one of the creatures to strike a slash down his right arm, red blood pouring from it; black wings spread out from Riquel's back and he jumped away, leaving Shirou to defend himself while the angel grasped at his injury, breath coming faster. It almost looked as if he were feverish, as if he would faint; inside his head, Riquel could head the word repeat itself in an incessant echo: Revenge.
He was so focused on his thoughts that the fallen angel didn't see the armored creature creep up behind him, blade raised.
Shirou's eyes widened at the dark angel's words, but while Riquel turned around those same eyes narrowed dangerously.  'Not human...' he thought to himself as he stepped back, putting a little more distance between himself and the two arguing individuals while several of the shadows charged him.  One blade was intercepted by Kanshou, the two black blades ringing off each other while another enemy weapon was deflected by its white counterpart.  Spinning on his heel, he slashed at one of the knights' backs as he circled around the shadowy creature, hoping that the potent anti-monster enchantment upon the blades would have an effect on them.
However, when he saw the angel get hurt again and a second knight moved to attack, Shirou cursed beneath his breath.  The two blades in his hands arced out then, thrown like a pair of discus towards the ponytailed mage and the dark knight's blade.  Even before they could connect however, a flash of light went off in the Magus Killer's hands and another pair of swords appeared just in time to deflect another attack...
*************************************************************************************
Akirin's eyes narrowed. "Oh, I know what you are, creature." The blade in his grasp seemed to glow brighter, perhaps responding to his tone of voice. "But no, I haven't seen one of your like here, and as soon as you are gone, there will hopefully be none left." His lips suddenly curved into a smirk. "No, she never dropped me, but from what I've been told, a God did try to possess me, and over the years, many have tried to kill me." The smirk grew. "As you can see; I'm still here." He dashed forward, blade slicing through the air to strike Kagami, but at the last second a screech from above pulled Akirin's attention.
"Hmmmm... you know if it weren't for the blatant hostility I think I'd like you," Kagami said as she started to draw her weapon in response, a blood-thirsty grin on her face settling there in anticipation, up until the screech came.  As the massive bird dove on them, the Hollow seemed to leap up again, allowing the bird to pass underneath her harmlessly.  Settling herself on an antennae afterwards, she watched the creature circle around.
"Your pet?" Akirin asked the hollow, his tone acid. "So are you the one that brought the shadow servants here to break the peace of this world?"
A snort was her response.  "I've never had much luck with pets before... My last one was a rock... and it died...  I don't think something like this would have lived long in my care..." she said even as the bird let out another screech, and Kagami found that while she could weather the shockwave, her perch couldn't, forcing her to land on the roof of the building next door.
A tarnished silver orb started to form in her hand as she narrowed her eyes.  "I never had much time for weaklings...." she muttered, and the orb of pure spiritual energy launched itself from her palm with enough force to cause the air around it to pop, the Bala breaking the sound barrier on its way towards the giant eagle...
He continued to pant as he looked upon his kill, that girl continued to talk about this thing being driven by people? Now there was another girl, who said her name was 'Natsuki' near him. She asked if he was alright and mentioned her sister was studying medicine, upon hearing that he looked around and saw a third girl helping someone out of the vehicle. The man wore a uniform, but it didn't seem militaristic and beside that he just appeared to be an average Jue...who took the opportunity to give the boy the middle finger.
After witnessing that he finally answered the girl. "No idea... I have no fucking idea what's going on! I..." Even with the rain it was clearly visible that he was sweating bullets and now he was feeling something in his stomach then immediately bent over and vomited. "Dammit!"
Before he could say anything else, several armored creatures appeared. Now what? After hitting that truck he didn't know WHAT to think, was he tripping serious balls right now and still seeing what he was used to seeing?
Resetting the Board  Empty Re: Resetting the Board
Post by Dark Thu Jan 29, 2015 3:04 pm
The shadow creatures scattered at Natsuki's attack, others poofed into smoke as they were struck by the creatures, though the two knights didn't seem all that bothered by it. "I told them we need stronger shadow servants,' one said with a shrug. "Whatever,' the speaking twin held out his hand; shadows swept into the space, creating a large sword that he pointed at the group. "My name is Amon; remember it." With a shift of his feet, he swept forward towards the two girls, slashing at Natsuki first, vanishing and reappearing behind Moriko, sword slicing down.
The second twin turned his attention to the boy vomiting and the last girl; a smirk curled his lips. 'Far too easy,' he pointed first at Rhys who tensed, bringing her hands up in a boxer's stance, then to the boy but suddenly lowered the weapon, settling a hand on his chest and bowing. "My name is Rah,' his gaze flickered to the boy. "I have a proposal for you two,' he held out his hand. "Join us in serving the Mage of Ages. There is something the two of you want; serve him well and he will see to it that you gain it." A dark eyebrow rose as he watched the two. "Well?"
'Mage of Ages...who the hell is that?' And how was he supposed to help Rhys out? Far as she could see, she'd be trading one problem for another. "If this guy's so powerful,' she said, keeping her stance. "Why doesn't he just come out here and talk to us himself?" Damn, this was going to suck if she had to fight.
**********************************
Rillesil watched the girls argue among themselves, a smile curving her lips. It didn't matter to her whether there was a limit to the barrier or not; she was patient, and the girls finally dropped it but not before giving Rillesil a warning.
"I already told you I won't try anything without giving you a warning." She stood from the chair, the shadowy cloak swaying gently behind her, tendrils of darkness seeming to reach outward before they retreated.
"Come on then girls, you'll be late,' she suddenly paused, turning back to them. "Almost forgot, I do have a message. The Mage of Ages bids you to join him." Rillesil tipped her head to the side, smiling. "He's really not that bad, but it's up to you. Care to join us?"
Resetting the Board  Empty Re: Resetting the Board
What was it about that word that made Riquel want to reach out and swallow it like water? It sounded in his head like a gong that wouldn't stop, taking all his focus away from the enemy around him; he only refocused on them when he heard something strike metal and he looked back over his shoulder, watching one of the shadow knights stagger back with a blade protruding through his chest.
Riquel snarled, grabbing his sword and swinging it at the creature to finish it off before turning to the boy. "I don't need your help, human!" The word had an edge of dislike and disgust in it, the dark angel's grey-blue eyes going a shade darker in dislike. He turned to the red hair knight who had dodged Shirou's attack and now rushed at the boy, slamming down a large hammer onto the two blades.
"The fallen angel seems to like the thought of revenge,' the red headed knight smiled. "What about you, boy? Care to join us?" In his free hand another hammer appeared and the knight brought it down as well. "My name is Agnidev; remember it well, boy."
Further away, Riquel snarled, slashing his way through the shadows. "Shut up you ugly thing!" He shouted at the knight. "If I want something, I get it myself!" As unlikely as it was....revenge...on Heaven...hell!
*************************************
A rock dying...Akirin snorted; that was almost funny, if the creature making the joke had been anything else. He back winged, avoiding the shadow bird's attack, though it seemed it was far more focused on the hollow than on him, and he watched as the large shadow bird flew towards the hollow woman, opening its beak to launch another attack just as the hollow fired one of her attacks.
Akirin back winged further, already knowing what that certain attack could do to some; he glanced at the bird, watched it as the attack slammed into it, part of it seeming to be swallowed by the shadow bird; its body began to enlarge, flashes of light piercing through its body before it exploded into smoke.
"A phoenix will always be reborn,' as the smoke cleared, it revealed a woman where once the bird had been. Blue eyes stared out at them from behind her visor, and in one hand she held a large axe made entirely of shadowy metal. "My name is Noir,' the knight said raising her blade and pointing it at Akirin, while her gaze remained on Kagami. "I come with a proposition; join us in serving the Age of Mages, and what you seek, he will give to you."
Akirin inwardly cursed, pulling a second blade from his back; if the hollow decided to join this woman, he was going to need more than just Excalibur; especially when he was still unable to fully master it.
Melody looked toward Rillesil with a calculating look, "Who the heck is this Mage of Ages, and why does he want us to join him?"
"What happens if we meet this "Mage of Ages" Guy and he wants to take our Cure Modules because of their power?" Rhythm asked as she did air quotes around Mage of Ages, "it seems too convenient that some guy we never met would suddenly want our help."
Beat looked toward Rhythm and nodded, "I have to agree with Rhythm, it just seems too convenient that some stranger suddenly wants our help, I've been manipulated before to attack my friends because I was jealous of another friend. I do not want to go through that again."
"We don't know what to expect from this Mage of Ages guy, " Muse huffs, then continues, "what the heck is his mission?"
"Girls," Harmony said as she carried Hummy, "we can worry about this Mage of Ages guy later, right now we have to see who these others who were attacked are. Lead the way Rillesil-San. I mean what if he is the enemy that sent that creature after us?"
The other Cures and Hummy had to agree with the latest Suite Cure, they had to learn more about this Mage of Ages guy before they made any final decisions. They also didn't know how joining this Mage of Ages guy would help them, if at all.
OOC: Harmony is just speculating, she has no clue whatsoever that Lerant is the Mage of Ages. She also doesn't know Lerant at all, neither do the other Cures for that matter.
Resetting the Board  Empty Re: Resetting the Board
Natsuki swung her hand up, ending her beam and utilizing the light into a shield instead. While her hasty decision paid off, it was short-lived, as the sword penetrated the weak shield, throwing her back and down to the ground. The attack from behind caught Moriko off guard; she suffered damage to her back, nulling her Pin's spell. The wooden armor cracked and fell away as she also fell to the ground, catching herself by her elbows, her hands still gripped on her daggers. When her double vision ceased, she looked ahead to find her sister on the ground as well.
"Nat.. NAT! Are you okay?!!" Moriko tried to ignore her own soreness as she clamored over to Natsuki.
"I'd say I'm better off than you, sis. Get over here..." Natsuki pulled herself up, then closed the gap between her and Moriko, gingerly helping her older sister up and supporting her with one arm.
"These guys are definitely not Reapers." Moriko noted aloud, pocketing one dagger and using the free hand to hold her lower back. "It looks like their attention is on those two. I know we shouldn't run, but I don't think we'll be much help right now."
"No way, Mori, we can't abandon them! That guy is obviously super sick, and those big bullies...well...we can at least help."
"Still, I've gotta hang back and recoup a bit. Let's at least retreat into a building and observe, we can come back out-"
"Ohhohoo, 'retreat'? In all my pursuits of you two worms, I've never heard such wimpy words from you!"
A grimace crossed Moriko's face. "You have GOT to be kidding me right now." The girls looked up, where an all-too-familiar figure perched at the edge of a nearby awning.
"Miss me, ladies?" A woman with spiky white hair jumped to the ground, spiked, sinewy wings folding out behind her. Sharp, teal eyes looked each girl top to bottom. "Looks like you've been having fun."
"Hey, Kotone, we're a little too busy to play the Game right now with you, can we do this tomorrow?" Nat asked with a genuine tone of sincerity in her voice.
"What? Why are you making the Game sound like child's play? Obviously you two are failing a mission. Should I leave you be so you may join our ranks, or destroy you so you'll cease to exist?" Kotone's coy smile spread into a grin.
Moriko sighed impatiently. "Seriously, you're still under that hypnotism or whatever the heck they pull on you Reapers? No Game, no missions, REAL DANGER. Leave us alone." she ended with a glare in the Reaper's direction while nudging Natsuki toward a nearby shop.
"What did you give up this round, your common sense?" Hotone gave a cackle. "Fine, I'll let this drag out. Only because I'm interested in those strange Noise over there." She walked past the girls, signaling she was done with their conversation. Moriko rolled her eyes. "I swear, she's like some dumb robot. C'mon, Nat, let's go inside for now."
"What if those shadows hurt Hotone? I know she hunted us in the Game, but...she's kinda like some weird little sister since we've returned to the Realground."
"Are you really defending her? Forget it, Nat, if they get her, good riddance." Moriko entered the shop without hesitation. Natsuki glanced back at the ex-enemy, who seemed to be observing the shadow creatures like kittens at a pet shop. With a twinge of guilt, she joined her sister inside.
"Well, well, what have we here?" Hotone cooed to the shadow creatures that calmly circled her. Their hostility was readable, yet restrained. They seemed as curious in her as she was in them. "You're certainly a strange set of Noise. I wonder..." She looked ahead to see the tall, armored men cornering a pair of kids. They didn't seem invested in their minions. She then made her decision. A black viola materialized in her hands. She set the bladed bow to the strings, and played a short, soft, melancholy melody. The shadow creatures at her feet stirred, but did not follow the command. She changed the melody, a faster, brighter tune. Some of the creatures showed interest, while others recoiled, bothered by the sound. They still didn't follow the command created by the music.
Hotone lowered the bow. "Hmm..well, a shame. It seems I can't tame you, yet you appear to be pleasant allies. Care to join this Pied Piper over your negligent owners?" She lowered herself down onto her knees, treating the creatures like pets.
These things were real, definitely real as those other girls were also confronting them..and then retreated as yet ANOTHER girl appeared and he guessed was trying to entertain the shadows with her viola solo.
...This situation was starting to feel familiar; surrounded by a bunch of creatures who wanted to take him to their master, only instead of just shooting then abducting him. Some were making an offer on behalf of this 'Mage of Ages'. The boy started to wonder. (Is he the same asshole and he sent these things,) While eyeing the Shadow Servants. (to screw with me?!) Unfortunately he'd never SEEN the person responsible and the voice was distorted so for all he knew it could've been a talking hamster.
So like 'Rhys', he also wanted to see this guy in person. "I may or may not have been through this crap already, so tell this guy to get his ass here OR go fuck himself! Because you're going to have to kill me, before I go kill me, before I go anywhere with you freaks!"
It sounded in his head like a gong that wouldn't stop, taking all his focus away from the enemy around him; he only refocused on them when he heard something strike metal and he looked back over his shoulder, watching one of the shadow knights stagger back with a blade protruding through his chest.
Riquel snarled, grabbing his sword and swinging it at the creature to finish it off before turning to the boy. "I don't need your help, human!" The word had an edge of dislike and disgust in it, the dark angel's grey-blue eyes going a shade darker in dislike. He turned to the red hair knight who had dodged Shirou's attack and now rushed at the boy, slamming down a large hammer onto the two blades.
"The fallen angel seems to like the thought of revenge,' the red headed knight smiled. "What about you, boy? Care to join us?" In his free hand another hammer appeared and the knight brought it down as well. "My name is Agnidev; remember it well, boy."
Further away, Riquel snarled, slashing his way through the shadows. "Shut up you ugly thing!" He shouted at the knight. "If I want something, I get it myself!" As unlikely as it was....revenge...on Heaven...hell!
Shirou was almost disappointed in the angel's reaction to being saved, but then it was no longer really a surprise to the magus, the inhuman didn't think in the same ways as humans after all.  He braced the two blades above him as the first hammer came down on them, the sharp edges catching on the shaft of the weapon to keep it from pulping his skull open.  He resisted the urge to bite off a retort to answer Agnidev's question, remembering one of his Saber's lessons in swordsmanship. 'Talking while fighting is a Sin, and will be punished.'  Instead he allowed himself to fall backwards, pushing off with the twin dao to propel himself away, causing the second strike to shatter the blades into fragments of multi-colored light.  Another flash of green came as two more swords appeared in Shirou's hands, and as he rolled to his feet his arms swept forward to throw them at Agnidev, each one spinning like a frisbee at him while more copies snapped into existence.
Taking a moment to glance over at Riquel, he noted that the shadow knights seemed more intent on him for now, and hopefully the man wouldn't get killed before he got over there as well.  Shirou's golden eyes turned back to his hammer-wielding opponent, his arms holding his weapons seemingly lazily to the sides of his body, yet still somewhat away from it.  A half-readied stance full of holes and openings...
*************************************
A rock dying...Akirin snorted; that was almost funny, if the creature making the joke had been anything else. He back winged, avoiding the shadow bird's attack, though it seemed it was far more focused on the hollow than on him, and he watched as the large shadow bird flew towards the hollow woman, opening its beak to launch another attack just as the hollow fired one of her attacks.
"A phoenix will always be reborn,' as the smoke cleared, it revealed a woman where once the bird had been. Blue eyes stared out at them from behind her visor, and in one hand she held a large axe made entirely of shadowy metal. "My name is Noir,' the knight said raising her blade and pointing it at Akirin, while her gaze remained on Kagami. "I come with a proposition; join us in serving the Age of Mages, and what you seek, he will give to you."
Akirin inwardly cursed, pulling a second blade from his back; if the hollow decided to join this woman, he was going to need more than just Excalibur; especially when he was still unable to fully master it.
Kagami grinned as the shadow bird was destroyed, only to frown as a woman stood in place.  On the one hand, she seemed to have some experience in a fight, on the other, she was interrupting...  "You know, that's a rather poor marketing strategy you know...  An empty offer where you don't know anything about the people you make it to, and no proof of being able to back it up...  Seriously, are you just going around to random individuals to see who may be interested without any worry as to what attention you draw?  That's rather reckless of you...." she said, a hint of a smile appearing back on her face.
"However, I'm afraid I have to decline.  A Queen never bows to anyone after all, and I already have a play-date here who's itching for a fight," the Hollow said, tilting her head in the direction of Akirin.  Adopting a somewhat curious pose, Kagami continued.  "On the other hand, if you DO insist on escalating things, then by all means, go ahead!" she said, her smile turning into a feral grin as she narrowed golden eyes at the two.  "Maybe if you prove entertaining enough I'll even refrain from eating you!"
Rillesil smiled, crossing her arms. "What he wants, what would happen if you meet him, I can't say. You would have to find out yourselves,' she fell silent as the girls discussed it, chuckling at Harmony's words.
"The Mage of Ages is the one who sent the monsters after you." Darkness swirled around her, spreading out and wrapping over the group like a bubble. "But don't worry,' the last thing the girls saw was her smile in the darkness. "He doesn't want to kill you....at the moment."
When the darkness left them, the Cures would find themselves in a rainy street, and not far from them, they would spot several others fighting the dark creatures that had attacked them.
*******************
Amon appeared several feet from the two girls, watching them both as they started to collect themselves and smirked. 'Far too easy.' Pity.
Another woman appeared, though it seemed she might not be a friend of the two younger girls now trying to make their escape. Amon glanced over at his brother, noting that he seemed to be in no danger, then back at the woman as she started playing an instrument. He knew, could feel, what she was trying to do and he smiled; the smile turned into a chuckle as he watched her try to tame the shadow warriors.
"Don't bother,' he said, a smirk on his lips. "They are bound to only one being; it's the reason they exist and breaking that contract means certain death." An eyebrow rose. "But you're welcome to join us; I'm sure the Mage of Ages will find you useful." Darkness rose about him and he vanished.
As they entered the building, Moriko and Natsuki would find themselves faced with Amon, blade in hand. "Sorry, but we don't give breaks. I'd ask you to join us, but I think I know your answer." He snapped his fingers and darkness began to rise around the two girls, forming into black steel bars and soon, the two would find themselves trapped in a dark cage. "Consider yourselves caught." His voice was taunting, as if daring the two girls to try and get out of the cage.
Extreme but... " What he said Rhys spoke, hands still up in a boxer's stance. "So there."
Rah shrugged. "The Mage of Ages doesn't have the time come out here; he will meet you...but only if you go to him." Unfortunately they seemed less than interested. Ah well. "Then I will grant your wish, boy." Rah flicked his hand in a quick motion and darkness began to rise to Ryuusei's left, forming into a shadowy hydra with three heads that hissed down at him and Rhys. "Play with my pal here,' Rah disappeared in a flash of darkness, appearing further away. "I'll just wait for it to kill you two."
The hydra snarled down at the two, head snapping as they prepared to attack. "Hey, kid,' Rhys said, taking a step back. "You know that thing you did back there with the sword? Do that again, just aim it at the hydra." Her red eyes flashed, the white hair in her head shifting as two horns began to grow out her skull while her teeth began to sharpen into fangs, making her look almost...demonic in nature. "Just don't aim for the neck; we have to find the heart." Unfortunately for them, from what Rhys remembered, the hydra's heart wasn't always on its chest. "Go!" She jumped into action, racing at the hydra, avoiding one of the heads, then grabbing it, curling both hands around it as far as she could and jerking it down against cement that cracked. "Start chopping." She called to Ryuusei. "I can only,' she firmed her grasp when the creature tried to wriggle out of arms. "Hold this for so long!"
**********************
The boy was quick, Agnidev would give him that; he pulled up both hammers as Shirou threw blade after blade at him, the dark metal of his hammers enlarging into shields that took the brunt of the attack. 'Neither will join us.' Then again, Agnidev had thought as much.
Darkness swallowed the red headed warrior, letting him reappear further from the two; at his movement, the shadow warriors attacking Riquel disappeared. "Fallen angel,' Agnidev called. "Should you change your mind at any moment, call my name and I shall appear."
Riquel snarled, a curse on his lips. "Don't hold your breath; I'd rather cut off your head!"
The knight said nothing, simply vanished, leaving the two males only with the sound of falling rain.
Riquel glanced at the red headed human, then away. "I'll repay your...interference at some other time." He told Shirou. "Goodby-" Before he could finish the word, a shadow rose over the two, and as Riquel looked up, he cursed. A large wall of darkness rose above them, and like a tidal wave, splashed down on the two, sweeping them away through the streets, finally abating as they reached a street with a broken car and several others in the same predicament the two had been in moments before.
The dark waters that had carried them here suddenly pulled together, forming a creature several times their size and in the form of a saver tooth tiger. It snarled, jumping at the nearest target; Shirou.
Resetting the Board  Empty Re: Resetting the Board
Noir gave a shrug. "I come with the backing of the Mage of Ages; he is the one with the power." Behind her visor, she smirked at Kagami's words.  "I doubt you would be able to...stomach me, creature." Noir suddenly shifted, bringing her axe up to block Akirin's strike; the blade in his hand gleamed and Noir turned into smoke, appearing further away. That blade...well, it seemed now she had information of interest to take back to her Master.
"That is rude, boy,' Noir hissed.
Akirin shrugged. "I don't see a reason to be polite." What he did regret was the woman managing to escape him. "I'll get to you in a second,' he called to the hollow. "Just stay out of the way." He rushed Noir but she continued to back away, her free hand finally pulling up, waving it at the two.
The wind started behind Kagami, slamming into her with the force of a hurricane; in fact, it was one made of darkness, the pull of it was so strong that soon Akirin found himself pulled into its dark winds as well. "We will meet again,' the two would hear Noir say before the dark winds carried them away; throwing the two down onto a street where several others battled the dark creatures.
Not far from where they landed, Akirin caught sight of two teens fighting what seemed to be a dark hydra. He hesitated a moment, glancing from them to Kagami and finally settled his eyes on the hollow, hands tightening on the blades. "Well?" He asked Kagami. "Should we pick up where we left off or...' he hesitated, not really believing that this creature would decide to help fight these creatures but...what the hell, he had other things to do. "Are you willing to help?" Excalibur blazed in his hand, as if in warning.
Resetting the Board  Empty Re: Resetting the Board
Post by Raijinken Thu Feb 12, 2015 2:37 pm
(OOC: Sorry it took so long, I had most of this typed out on Tuesday, but my comp crashed and I lost it and wasn't feeling up to re-typing it yesterday. And I hope this wasn't too much, but after...hurting constantly for 2 weeks, I need to finlict a little of my own.)
There were many things he may or may not have seen, yet the summoned Hydra was probably the most normal one of them! It immediately snapped him to attention as his green eyes looked up at the large three-headed beast that leered down on him and the girl called 'Rhys'.
Then the girl said something that caught his attention, it was about the sword? "What WHAT?!" (Maybe she thinks I trashed that...'truck'-thing  with this?) His eyes shifting down to see the bloody blade, assuming she got there after he attacked the vehicle. (...When I really busted it with this!) Now looking at his right hand and the redness of his knuckles.
Looking back at the girl, suddenly she'd sprouted fangs and horns, was he still tripping balls? She then launched herself into the air, wrapped herself around one of the heads and wrestled it to the ground. Nice!
She told him to 'get to choppin'...but avoid the neck? "A little contradictory ain't that?" He had another idea in mind as his fist was cocked back... "Besides, why chop," And as big a shit-eating grin formed on his face. "...when I can drill?! FUU..." Suddenly gale-force winds began to gust past the others present, gathering around his fist. The gathered winds took on the form of a solid green spinning funnel; it's rotations increasing in speed the more air drawn in as well as 'shrinking'. It was now rotating so fast that everything below his elbow appeared to have been devoured by the funnel. "RAIJINKEN!!!" Thunder cracked and the rainy, dark sky was briefly illuminated as a small blue bolt of concentrated energy was launched downward, striking the 'bit' of the air drill and fusing it with it's energy; turning the green drill 'blue'.
He quickly lunged forward; sending his fist flying towards one of the downed head's eye. If the beast's heart was in this head, the drill should take care of it. If not, the lightning should sear the neck enough tk make it difficult to regenerate...
Resetting the Board  Empty Re: Resetting the Board
Hotone looked up at the tall, armored man who explained the weird Noise surrounding her. Before she could snap back, he teleported away. She hastily brought herself to her feet, the viola vanishing with a snap, the bladed bow remaining in her right hand. The dark creatures went back to ignoring her, their attention turned to another pair of people - not Natsuki and Moriko. Hotone didn't recognize them from the Game, but that wasn't a worthy detail, anyhow: the other armored man summoned a large hydra before disappearing himself. 'Who the heck are these guys? What's going on here?' Hotone felt an irritated headache come on. Maybe those brats were right about this being the world of the living, but she sure never remembered dark creatures or armored men or hydras in the "real" world.
Her attention was drawn away when she heard a collective yelp come from the building the girls had retreated to. One glance at the hydra battle before her showed that the two kids seemed to be handling it. It wasn't her job to save them anyway. She made her way to the building.
---
The sisters barely made a "phew" when the armored man appeared before them. Just as they grabbed for their daggers, darkness encircled and trapped them. They both shouted in surprise, finding themselves back to back. The dark energy resonating in the steel bars made it hard to see outside of their cage, but they could hear Amon's taunting. The girls took to their pins, Natsuke firing water bullets and Moriko assaulting the bars with her earth armor. While the cage shook, it did not falter. They paused and exchanged looks. "Nat, I think we need a plan."
---
At the entrance, Hotone found a cage teeming with dark energy. She could make out two silhouettes struggling inside, along with a deep, masculine chuckle coming from the other side of the cage. With her wings she lifted herself up, stopping just above the cage, setting into a comfy hovering position with legs and arms crossed. She cast a thoughtful glance down to the cage before shifting her view to Amon. "Are those my targets in there? You know, I've never seen you around here before, and I've never heard of this 'Mage of Ages' guy. If I may be so bold, what's in it for me?"
Resetting the Board  Empty Re: Resetting the Board
Post by Kagami Mon Feb 16, 2015 11:08 pm
Shirou was not very happy with the other red-headed knight, but less so with the hostility of his 'ally'.  "If you don't want the help then I'd suggest leaving..." he snapped back, halfway ready to attack the angel himself with just his blades.  Fortunately that didn't happen, instead he was be swamped by a flood of darkness that brought up REALLY bad memories of a similar occurrence.  Fortunately, this one didn't feel like it was trying to melt his soul down with the worst of all realities, but the sensation of being swallowed and spat out of the dark was NOT welcomed regardless!
As he got to his feet, Shirou saw how the street they landed in was no longer empty, but filled with other people fighting what appeared to be shadowy Phantasmal Beasts!  "What the hell is going on?" he said, only to see the saber toothed shade bearing down on him.  Throwing his swords at it, the magus sent prana down his legs to reinforce his bones, muscle, and cartilage, glowing green lines shining through his pant legs as he strengthened them enough to allow the man to leap back and away from the creature's pounce.  As he landed with a dull thud a bit further away, he saw that another man with black wings was talking to a white-haired woman while gesturing to a hydra.  Another flash of prana and in his hands was a barbed red spear, yet Shirou's attention was taken back towards Akirin.
"Where the HELL did you get THAT blade?!" he asked in surprise, as his mind worked to try and Structurally Analyze it...
****************************************************
Kagami was actually impressed that the swordsman had had the gall to attack the axe-wielding woman, and on top of that had the audacity to demand that she WAIT!  "Well now!  A little forthright aren't we?" she said in response, before their mutual prey decided to dissipate.  As the hurricane of dark winds came up, the Hollow was too surprised to do much other than cry out in shock and pain as she lost control of her own flight, and was thrown into the streets...
Due to her Iron Skin, Kagami only took a little damage from the fall... Hell it was her Pride that was the biggest casualty, and she was good and mad as a result!  Looking about at the creatures that surrounded them, she wasn't surprised that the man she'd been fighting sought to reprioritize things.  As Shirou tried to question Akirin, Kagami spoke.  "If you want to finish it after this mess is cleaned up, I'll accept that...  But better hurry, I might get bored waiting for you!"
Leaping away from the man, she spotted another entity with black feathered wings, but this one with a lot more spiritual and divine energies at his disposal than the others she felt around.  "Well well, lookie what we have here!  I'd ask if it hurt, but given the coloration it might be in poor taste," she said to Riquel as she hovered above him, the hole in her torso letting the moonlight above pass through like a spotlight on him.  "I'd get up quick if I were you... This isn't exactly a good neighborhood to take a nap in..."  Despite the playfulness of her words, the Espada's grip on her zanpaktou was tight, and she eyed the saber toothed creature rather nastily...
Resetting the Board  Empty Re: Resetting the Board
Post by Dark Thu Feb 19, 2015 2:10 pm
Definitely far too easy, Amon reclined against the wall, arms crossed and watched the two girls struggle uselessly against the dark bars. "Looks like I have you at my mercy,' he smiled, straightening, raising one hand. "And now it's ove-" Before he could finish the other woman entered the building, lifting herself higher up with dark wings.
"Call them what you will,' he said with a shrug. "At the moment they're my targetss, as for the Mage of Ages, only he can answer that for you. I,' he gave a slight bow. "May look like a full being to you three, but in truth,' his body dissolved into smoke, only to appear to the far left. "I am not much different than the shadow warriors outside, the only difference is that I was granted a higher form of being by the Mage of Ages." Amon raised his hand once more and dark blades began to appear in midair as a smirk wove through his lips. "But enough of that, what do you say we play a game woman?" He taunted.
"You want your so called 'targets'? I'll give them to you, if you can manage to land a single hit on me." The blades launched themselves at Hotone, almost seeming to follow her around, and far across the room, there were suddenly five different copies of Amon, and a sixth near the two caged girls. "So,' he drawled. "Care to revisit your decision on not joining or...' he smirked at the girls. "...how are you both with...vermin?"
****************
Color him surprised, the hollow had actually agreed to it. "Then don't leave me waiting either,' he told her, turning his gaze to the two teens fighting the hydra, only someone speaking caught his attention and he shifted it to another teen who was very obviously looking at his sword. "This?" Akirin held up Excalibur, the blade glimmering with flames made of light. "Where do you think?" He drawled. "A lake." Akirin knew the blade had chosen him, otherwise it wouldn't have been there, but that was neither here nor there and he pointed with it. "You have other problems."
The saber made to pounce on Shirou, jaws open, and Akirin moved, intercepting the creature with the blade and pushing it back, leaving behind a gash on one of its legs that dripped black blood onto the ground, hissing as it made contact and turned it black.
"I am still here,' a blast of dark wind and Noir was there, axe in hand. "And the games cease here, children. Either triumph, or die." She pulled her axe up and dashed forward in a quick motion, the saber following her lead.
'Peachy,' Akirin thought cynically. 'I just love my welcome home party.' His left hand spread out as he spoke. "Heaven's Will!" A golden glimmer flashed into it before it solidified into another sword, this one with a golden hilt shaped into an Asian dragon, the blade of it silver. "Which one do you want to take...' he glanced at the red headed boy, realizing he didn't know his name. "You. I'll take the other one."
Resetting the Board  Empty Re: Resetting the Board
Post by Dark Thu Feb 19, 2015 2:22 pm
The wind started to blow and Rhys took a moment to glance in the direction of the boy. 'what the-' So much for that. 'I swear if he hits me...' Not that it was all that easy to kill her, but it would hurt like heck, and as she saw the kid racing towards her, Rhys made a quick decision and let go of the hydra just as another of the heads made to bite her.
'Not this time!' She slammed a foot against the creature's jaw and used the force to jump away, for a moment it seemed as if she floated in the air, watching the wind attack slice through one of the creature's head and down its body.
'Well, at least that should do some damage.' Rhys thought landing behind Ryuusei. "Not bad, now let's hope it works." Her ears had already picked up on others being in street, but she couldn't quite tell if they were on their side or those cretins; whatever, she'd find out soon enough.
The hydra's body came down with a sudden slam, one of the heads barely hanging on by skin, spit something out and it rolled to a stop near Ryuusei. The thing pulsed a dark, almost black green, and was soon revealed to be the creature's heart; it shattered, leaving behind a green stone the size of his fist, and nothing more.
"Hmm, kind of looks like an emerald,' Rhys said, coming closer and inspecting it. "Not that I'm touching it,' she stood, turning to Ryuusei. "So kid, wanna make a run for it or do we turn around and figure out what the heck those other guys are doing here?" But Rhys doubted they had much choice.
"I think you've both forgotten,' Rah stepped forward, blade in hand. "I'm still here to deal with you two."
"He is not the only one,' another figure stepped out from the shadows, this a thick man with red hair braided down his back, a hammer in hand.
"Awww,' Rgys whined. "But I didn't enough for this!" Not that either listened to her. "I'm taking the skinny one." She hissed at Ryuusei. "I'm only working at half fuel since that damned restaurant cheated me out of several meals." She dashed forward, avoiding the red head man and stopping Rah's sword with her gloved hands, pulled it to her left and brought her leg up, slamming it into Rah's stomach.
Ryuusei would find himself having to deal with Agnidev, and while the knight was bulky in build, he was also quick but his strength was far more of a danger, the hammers he wielded more than strong enough to shatter bone.
**********************
Once the waters dissipated, Riquel was left lying on his back, his mouth throwing out dark water that made him want to rip his lungs out; even he hadn't been thrown into such a darkness...yet, and it god damned burned! He heard the sounds of battle nearby, the snarl of an animalistic creature, but for the moment, found it far too painful to get up.
This world was so...tainted, that even though he was...mostly like a human now, he could still feel it, just like a burning trying to get through his skin. It was almost enough to make him beg the Heavens to take him back, but he kept the scream in his throat, especially when he heard the sound of a mocking voice above him.
Riquel looked up, eyes setting on a creature not unknown to him...he'd had to drag the souls of a few of those to judgment in the past. How he hated this world and its inhabitants. "You think,' he shot back to the hollow in a snide voice. The fallen angel forced himself to his feet, turning his attention to the saber tooth creature Shirou battled. Great, so he had to help the damn human again! However, before he could take a single step, Riquel saw a young man join Shirou in the fight against the creature, so Riquel turned away just as a dark gust of wind brought another figure into being, this hovering a few feet opposite Kagami.
The blonde woman smiled and looked down at Riquel. "Heads up!" She threw something down and Riquel moved away, missing the exploding card; he snapped his wings open, winging up to glower at the woman who laughed.
"No need to look at me that way,' she said, jumping away from the two. "My name is Rillesil, and as I'm sure you can tell,' she set a hand to one side of her lips, whispering loudly. "I'm one of the bad guys." She chuckled and shrugged. "Or at least I'm with the Mage of Ages and,' a deck of cards appeared in her right hand and she spread the cards. "I'm supposed to fight you, so here,' she let the cards fly in both directions and while Riquel managed to avoid them, one of the cards suddenly burst with some sort of purple powder that he couldn't manage to avoid breathing in, and soon realized it was poison that had him coughing, struggling to stay in the air.
"Your turn, dear,' Rillesil threw cards at Kagami. "Watch out, that poison will affect even you...for a while at least, but,' she grinned playfully. "That's all I need."
Resetting the Board  Empty Re: Resetting the Board
Post by Raijinken Fri Feb 20, 2015 9:37 pm
The enormous beast came crashing down! His wind and lightning attack bore through the head Rhys had held down; soon it vomited up something, some dark-green pulsating object that shattered to reveal a stone. After it was clear the Hydra was dead, Rhys had offered him the chance to run...However before he could respond, Rah reminded them of his presence and now had another bigger guy with him!
She decided to take on the little guy, commenting about only being at half strength thanks to that restaurant. 'So I guess you'll want to torch it then..." Then after saying that, he looked down towards his own stomach. (At least you GOT to eat, I've got NO FUCKING CLUE when the last time I ate was...) It could've been that morning, a day, 2 days ago a week perhaps? And then his gaze shifted to his right arm and the chain-link burn pattern spiraling around it. Immediately his mind was flooded with images of him using Fuuraijinken, not against the Hydra but against one of the metal creatures he mistook that semi for. He had his chain wrapped around his right arm and as he raced towards the monster, the silver links became red hot from the electricity. After striking the finishing blow; flesh and blood erupted from that arm, spraying black goo all around the battle-singed meadow. His arm went limp, becoming immobile and emitted smoke and more goo...And now he had a scar there? (So that shit really did happen...)
Before he could really contemplate it all, he found himself starring up at the second, bulkier redheaded knight. While it may have been at least a month since his last 'meal'; the rain was pouring and his heart was racing so despite the outcome, it would be pretty for the Big Red Machine. And now he would start things off properly. "So who does your hair, your husband over there?"
******
While the chaos was unfolding on the streets above, in the sewers below the blood that had washed off of the sword had reached a block created from debris thanks to the fighting. It was at this time that a large, brown and grey rat approached the crimson water for a drink...
Resetting the Board  Empty Re: Resetting the Board
Post by opheliaswhims Tue Feb 24, 2015 9:24 am
Hotone quickly tensed into a fighting stance mid-air as the swords hurled themselves at her. Her efforts to dodge them were futile as she zipped around the room - they honed in on her. Clumsily, she fumbled to summon her viola, blocking the closest sword with her bow. As the viola appeared in her hand, she did not hesitate to play a sharp melody with long tones. A teal shield materialized around her. The swords bounced off like moths at a lightbulb. She was almost certain this didn't defeat them, but at least for the moment she wouldn't have to divide her attention.
She cast a glance at the cage. Were these brats worth it? Why would she fight this guy for them, instead of just agreeing with him and aligning with his faction? Something seemed off about all this. Each clashing noise from the swords against the shield bothered her, gave her a headache, along with hazy memories of drums crashing in a soundproof room. She closed her eyes a moment before looking toward the crowd of Amons. They were still brats, but they were the most familiar brats to her since leaving the underground. After this, she was knocking some answers out of them.
"Call me selfish, but I'll be taking what's mine. However, I wouldn't mind a chance to speak to this 'Mage of Ages', so feel free to stick around." she gave a quick wink. Hotone brought herself to the ground, the swords still knocking at the top of the shield. Continuing the melody she started, she quickened the tempo, shortening the notes. Teal sound waves materialized at her feet, walls shaking as the waves were shot toward the Amon clones.
---
The two girls suddenly heard a female voice halt Amon's laughter. "Mori...is that...Hotone?!?" Nat spun around to face her older sister, who gazed at the ceiling of their confines. "Sounds like it," she observed absently. "It doesn't matter, we need to get out of here. This is way too much...'weird' for one day." Moriko added irritably before pacing the perimeter, searching for a weak point. The cage didn't even have a door.
"Yeah, but..." Nat started. "What if...what if this is why the Composer brought us back to life with our Player's Pins? What if he knew something would-"
"That's just WAY too much coincidence, Natsuki. The Composer is probably just some twisted jerk who thought it'd be more fun if we duked it out here inst-" Suddenly the ground shook, causing the girls to waver and catch themselves. Moriko bumped against the wall of the cage, noticing that it too shook, moreso than it did with their disappointing efforts. The shaking allowed Moriko to notice the darkness was slightly disturbed by the shaking, like a thick smoke. The shaking caused a quick, brief flash of light to enter the cage before the caged tilted back in the other direction, closing off the light once more. "Nat!" she stumbled over to her sister. "Watch for light, time it, and utilize it." She directed, grabbing Nat's shoulders and pointing her in the direction of the wall facing the battle. The shaking continued as the girls held each other steady. Natsuki pulled out her Sunny Day pin. The cage convulsed again, tilting backward, the shred of light poking through. Natsuki hollered her attack as they began to fall backward with the cage. The small beam was absorbed by the pin before shooting it right back out at the cage's wall. The penetration wasn't large enough to climb through, but they finally had a small window out as the caged settled once more. Through it they saw the Amon stationed next to the cage.
"Now wha-" Natsuki began before Moriko plunged her hand into Natsuki's pocket, pulling out the pin with a purple leaf and vine, and placed it in her hand. Natuski brought herself to the small opening, placing her hand with the pin just below it, whispering, "Poison Ivy". Vines sprouted from the outstretched hand, making their way out of the cage and toward the Amon clone.
Resetting the Board  Empty Re: Resetting the Board
Post by Dark Tue Feb 24, 2015 8:03 pm
Rah came at her and Rhys dodged, slamming a fist into his stomach in passing and tossing him away from her, in the moment she had to spare, Rhys glanced at Ryuusei with a perplexed look. "Why would I want to torch it? They've got some great pizza there." Even if they're so called 'all you can eat' promise wasn't really true.
She turned back just as Rah came swinging his sword at her; his speed had increased, taking Rhys by surprise, but she managed to fix her pace, using her gloved fists to keep blocking his sword and finally it broke, Rhys had a moment to grin before she saw shadows wrap around the broken blade, making it whole once more. 'Okay,' she thought, dodging Rah and jumping back some distance. 'That is just not fair.'
Seeing her surprise, Rah gave a cocky smile. "All of you can struggle as much as you wish; you'll find it useless in the end."
Rhys scoffed at him. "Count your chickens when they're hatched, grown and cooked to a nice crispy finish." She raced towards Rah, determined to win the fight. "And that hasn't happened!" Unfortunately, the sound of a building crumbling suddenly pulled at her attention and Rhys turned to look, eyes widening at the sight. "What the hell!?"
***************
Agnidev stared at Ryuusei with an unreadable expression, the hammers in his hands beginning to spin. "I wouldn't think this the right time for you to mock an enemy." The knight dashed at Ryuusei, hammers spinning. "Not when you're at such disadvantage!" The right hammer came down with a slam, fire suddenly bursting into melting existence around it, while the second raced towards Ryuusei's stomach, icicles forming on it.
Agnidev paid no attention to the crumbling of a building but continued to strike out at Ryuusei, taking any brunt of the boy's attack with barely a grunt, but as light spilled out into the street, Ryuusei would find both Rah and Agnidev move back into the shadows, glowing eyes on the scene behind Ryuusei.
Rah smirked at them. "So he let her out to play, she must be ready then. I can't help but wonder...' he chuckled darkly, showing a toothy grin. "If he'll let one of those Valkyries he has, out to play as well. If he does,' Rah ran a finger across his neck. "The lot of you are dead." All the shadow warriors knew that the Mage of Ages held quite the collection of beings he'd captured from many dimensions and galaxies, and 'fixing' them...well, that was no hard problem for him. By the time the Mage was done with them, they were nothing but loyal to him.
Resetting the Board  Empty Re: Resetting the Board
Post by Dark Tue Feb 24, 2015 8:11 pm
The clones watched as the blades continued to attack Hotone, though it seemed somewhat useless since she set up that barrier. 'Ah, pity,' one of them thought. Had her blood been spilled onto the shadows, they could have conjured a creature far more powerful than any of them; after all blood magic was always powerful, especially when a life was paid in return.
They watched as the woman descended, still surrounded by the barrier, their blades still pounding away, one after another, at the teal colored creation.
The clone closest to the wall smirked at her words. "Well, really, that is rather selfish of you. Wanting to both meet the Mage of Ages and take your prey?" He shook a finger at her. "Not very nice." It was all he could say before the woman began to play her Viola, causing sound waves to ripple out at them, shaking walls and slamming into them.
"Tsk!" The clones said before most of them disappeared, leaving behind only two, and the third near the cage. Well, she had definitely kept to the rules, but Amon still wasn't quite up to letting them go...no one had said he played by the rules.
*********
Amon braced himself as the sound waves began to shake the cage he had created, one hand settling on the wall of it, only to see the a hole created by his prisoners. He chuckled. 'Little vermin trying to get out. How useless.' Something came out of the hole, a vine, and Amon jerked back, though not quickly enough, the vine grabbed onto his arm and wouldn't let go. He made an annoyed sound and grasped the plant. "It's not going to be that easy girls." He jerked at the vines, but suddenly gave a gasp and burst into smoke.
Through the hole, the girls would be able to make out another figure, a young woman with long, wavy light brown hair that seemed to flow behind her, dressed in a beige gown; she smiled at them, though her violet-blue eyes seemed a little strange, almost too dark. "You must be uncomfortable in there,' her voice was soft and kind, yet still missing something to make it...human.
Her right hand held a scepter, and she raised it to point at the cage. "Please step back, I wouldn't want to hurt you." Light flickered from the scepter, gathering at the crystals there and slamming into the dark walls of the cage.
Inside the cage, the two would see the dark walls holding them begin to waver, almost like fog, and suddenly they broke apart, freeing them. The young woman stepped past the two, holding her scepter aloft, pointed at the last two clones. "Enough, shadow warrior."
One of the clones sighted and snapped his fingers, letting the other one disappear. "Did you have to come in and ruin my fun, Olette?" Amon whined. "I find it doubtful that the Mage of Ages just let you come out,' he looked her over. "The way you still are."
He grinned at the three females as he leaned against one of the wall, but as it half broke apart because of Hotone's attack, quickly straightened, backing away from it and turned to the girls, pointing at Olette. "She may look sweet and innocent, but if I were you, I wouldn't trust her. She,' he gave a shrug. "Well, let's just say you're far safer around me than her." A beam of holy magic had Amon disappearing, and Moriko would find him to her left, dusting off smoke.
"I guess,' Amon smirked. "Your second challenge has arrived." He gave the three girls a salute. "Good luck, you'll need it." He disappeared in a burst of smoke, leaving the three with a silent girl who suddenly turned to face them, a smile that seemed almost painted on, stretching her lips. She was beautiful, but in the way a doll was. "He's right; they're making it far too easy for you, Le- the Mage of Ages bids me be more...challenging." Maybe one of them would be able to figure it out by the way she spoke; whatever little emotion could be heard in her voice, was fake.
Light began to spin out around her, brightening the building until it almost hurt the eyes, Olette raised her scepter. "Phantom Claws." The three would only have moments to race out of the building before the spell she summoned tore it down around them, leaving the Sorceress standing unharmed amidst it all, and hovering in the sky was a pair of enormous claws, almost like those of a bear, made of holy magic.
The young woman pointed at the three and the claws flashed forward, slashing mercilessly at them; their intent clear, to kill.
Resetting the Board  Empty Re: Resetting the Board
His ears perked up at Rhys' mention of 'pizza' "Pizza?!" ...Perhaps some good COULD come from all this, "You BETTER not be lying about it being good there!" All the while keeping his eyes an Agnidev.
The bulky shadow knight mocked his own mockery. "A little trash talk never hurts..." And quickly found the large brute upon him; swinging one of his hammers, now covered with icicles at his midsection. There was an audible crunch as the teen was launched backwards. He skidded to a halt close to the 'emerald' left behind by the hydra. "...but...that sure as hell did! BLEGH!" And vomited for the second time that night...only THIS time the liquid was red with a couple solid bits.
It wasn't enough that he just hacked up a bunch of blood, but he was also bleeding from his chest, where many of the ice shards were now embedded. Not only that but Agnidev was coming at him for another attack, this time with the other hammer set ablaze! Acting quickly, he punted the green stone into the path of the flaming hammer. "SOU...SOUHAJIN!" And quickly fired a green air blade not at the hammer's head but towards the shadow knight's...However, before it could reach it's target both Agnidev and Rah had retreated back into the shadows.
"Ugh...shit GODDAMMIT!" As he was pulling out the ice. "Wh...what the hell was that all abo...h you gota be kidding me!" It was then that he realized the building was collapsing, with a section falling in their direction. (Oh this is going to like wicked hurt...) While crouching down just before leaping up towards it. "RE...REPPUU...KEN!" As he rose towards part of the building, winds surrounded his body; shredding the pieces of concrete into dust. Upon landing, the teen fell to his knees. "Ah mother of a..." And coughed up more blood.
******
After drinking the red liquid, the rat's body convulsed violently before increasing in size to around 7 feet. It's eyes were now slited and glowing bright yellow. A slit formed on it's forehead...which quickly opened to reveal a third eye. The rat hissed and began rummaging through the various junk in the area, finally finding something to use as a container which it filled with the reddened water before retreating through the tunnels....
Resetting the Board  Empty Re: Resetting the Board
Post by Kagami Mon Mar 09, 2015 9:22 pm
(OOC: I apologize profusely for holding up the group!)
Kagami step-floated back from the card's explosion, looking up at the new woman with a frown.  "Is this some sort of convention?  Everyone deciding to come out of the woodwork all at once like this just HAS to be bad news..." she muttered, but quickly lost her humor when she saw the poisonous cloud from the one thrown at Riquel.
'Damn it... Why do they INSIST on causing me trouble?' she thought, dodging and weaving between card throws.  Despite her best efforts though, the Hollow knew that with an area effect attack she was bound to get hit eventually. 'Time to raise the ante...'
Taking the black brooch from where it hung around her neck, Kagami held up the jewelry and chanted the words to activate it.  "Void... Eternal...Power...MAKE UP!"  A flash of silver light followed, only to darken again in a blizzard of black feathers before revealing the Hollow in a new state.  Her previously pale skin was now chalk white along with her hair, while her sclera had darkened to pitch black, the yellow irises glowing softly.  The biggest change though was her clothing, having changed into a black bodysuit, boots, and gloves with a white sailor collar.  White trim wrapped around the wrists and bottoms of her boots while a silver tiara with a black onyx gemstone in the middle adorned her forehead.  Raven-black wings extended from a white back bow similar to Riquel's own, while the shoulders and skirt, along with the front and
back bows, appeared torn and ragged.  In her hand the Hollow held a bladed staff with crescent moon markings along its carved silver surface.
"Called by the Night, I come to place judgement on those who stand against the Moon's light... I am Sailor Void, and I am going to punish you..."
**************************************************************
Shirou's eyes were actually hurting to look at the swords that Akirin wielded, and he focused instead on the two opponents in front of them.  Gae Dearg, the Crimson Rose of Exorcism that he currently wielded, would do well in breaking through any magical protections they had, but unlike Rule Breaker could not fully sever the ties such magic had to their caster or wielder.  Still, if the sabretooth or Noir had any such protections, then it would be an ideal weapon, since it afforded him reach and power...  When the other swordsman asked which he wanted to fight though, he frowned.  "I'll take the woman, you see what you can do against that Beast, alright?"
Circling around to put Noir between himself and the shadow-creature, the Magus Killer eyed her weapons carefully, attempting to read them with his Structural Grasping.  So long as they were made of mortal materials, or at least human-understood ones, then he should be able to read the history of them, as well as how they were used.  Doing so would give him a major advantage against an enemy that was likely stronger and faster than he was, and certainly far more powerful in terms of raw magic given that wave earlier..  The question was, would it work?
Resetting the Board  Empty Re: Resetting the Board
Post by opheliaswhims Tue Mar 10, 2015 7:23 pm
The girls backed away from the hole they made as the newcomer banished their prison with a flash of light. Unshielding their eyes, they got a look at their savior.
"Wow, she's so pretty!" Nat lilted. She took a step toward the woman, when Moriko grabbed her arm, pulling her to her right.
"Hey, not a good idea," she warned. "I don't trust anyone here...especially not someone with those eyes..." As if to confirm her fears, Amon appeared to her left with his warning. Her attention snapped to him, and as she reached out, he disappeared in smoke. A pull to her right brought her back to her sister. Natsuki was trying to wriggle out of the older sister's grasp. Moriko looked back to Olette, whose beauty, once soft, was almost horrifyingly sharp. Her gaze seemed stuck to her, she couldn't move or look away...
"Show's over, brats, let's go!" Hotone grabbed both girls by their collars, leading Nat and tugging Mori out of the building as light filled the room. She pushed them through the doorway and tucked her bow under her arm, giving one quick strum with her hand on her viola. The sound make a quick shield, one that only formed just before them and much weaker and translucent than before. It only did enough to safely knock them back from the explosion before shattering under Olette's power. After the dust settled, Hotone got up first, followed by Natsuki, who pulled up Moriko. The Reaper turned to the two sisters, arms crossing. "Alright, I want answers, and-"
"SURE THING! LATER!!" Natsuke yelped before pushing Hotone, a huge claw of energy landing where she had stood. The three of them clamored away from their spot before looking up to find the large set of magic claws. "Aw, man..." Natsuki whined.
Moriko scanned the surroundings, sighting the boy from earlier, crouching amongst the rubble. She didn't have long to observe, as they sprinted again to avoid more attacks. "Nat, trade," she ordered, handing her sister a potion. Natsuki wordlessly understood, handing Moriko's second dagger in exchange. "Go help him," she pointed before nudging her sister in his direction. She then turned to Hotone. "Think you can block those?" Moriko pointed skyward.
"Guess I'm going to have to, huh?" Hotone gave a quick glare before spreading her wings. She lifted herself into the air, a quick, messy tune proceeding her. Mid-sized, winged Noise spawned around her. They could only withstand one hit from the claws, but it was more time-saving than reconjuring shields over and over. She whipped out more sound waves herself, which seemed to uselessly rebound off the large claws. "I can't keep this up long!" She called down to Moriko. The girl didn't hesitate, attaching a pin to the hilt of one of the daggers. "Upgrade," she beckoned, and in response, her dagger blades became encased in light energy. She throttled herself at Olette, hoping she was more focused on her massive claws...even if it was a reckless endeavor.
---
Natuski made her way over to the boy. "Hey there-" she was startled to find him coughing up blood...again. Mori would know if this is normal, she thought grimly. It's probably not. HE'S probably not. "So, uh...we need to get out of here." She offered the potion to him, as well as her free hand. "Those claws are pretty nasty," she gestured upward with her chin, "and you don't look like you're in any shape to help fend them off." she added, sympathy in her voice.
Resetting the Board  Empty Re: Resetting the Board
Rillesil flew back when she heard Kagami call out some strange words, and watched with a raised eyebrow, eyes glinting with amusement, as the hollow transformed. "Ah, so you're kind of like that other group of girls,' the girl waved her hand flippantly. "Nice to meet you, Sailor Void,' her lips twitched. "I like your introduction; pity I don't have one to use, but here,' more cards appeared in her hand and she threw one after the other at Void, her movements swift, practiced. "Catch!" The cards exploded as soon as they neared Sailor Void, several showing in their purple color that they had poison in them.
"And if you don't like the quick introductions...well, I guess you better ready yourself for our last member,' the horned woman smiled in bright amusement. "Tell me...how would you do against a Valkyrie?"
******************
Riquel continued to cough, yet at the same time tried to bring in air, causing a wheezing sound to come from his throat that he had never heard before. Clutching at his chest, the dark angel fell from the sky to the ground with a loud thud. The distance he fell caused pain to ripple through his body and despite wanting to get up, couldn't find the ability to stand. Inwardly, he cursed himself, this whole situation, the creatures attacking him! The anger only added a pounding to his head that doubled his pain and he finally screamed in hopeless rage.
Resetting the Board  Empty Re: Resetting the Board
Noir scoffed as the boy chose to fight her instead of the large cat. "You will regret that,' she could hear the stone crumbling, knew what it meant but made no move to retreat. She had been given a mission and was determined to finish it for their Master.
The shadow warrior stood still, watching the boy's actions and suddenly smirked, bringing her large axe forward. "Are you trying to get a better look at this?" Her voice was almost taunting. "It's a God's weapon, given to me by the Mage of Ages; it once belonged to a Valkyrie. Does that sate your curiosity?" She finally dashed forward, an almost unseen shadow in the night, and easily brought the axe forward, bringing it down on Shirou. "I have given you an ultimatum, boy. Defeat me or die!" Her movements were swift as she attacked, bringing the axe's blade to attack again and again.
***************************
"If that's your choice,' Akirin gave a light shrug and returned his attention to the circling saber tooth. It snarled at him, and Akirin continued to look at it through narrowed eyes, keeping his silence despite hearing the crumbling noise of the building behind them.
The saber tooth dashed forward, throwing itself at Akirin and the young man moved to the side, using Heaven's Will to slice clean through the saber's already bleeding limb.
The creature gave a screech as the limb came off, sending its off balanced body tumbling to the ground. Akirin moved to finish it only for the creature to be enveloped in shadows, then it was standing, its limb once more attached; it came at Akirin, quicker so that he had to speed up as well, bringing both swords up to continuously block attack after attack and finally managed to wedge his blade into the saber's mouth, pulling it upward to pierce right through its mouth and slice half of it off; it didn't come without consequences, the saber's sharp teeth cut into his left arm, but Akirin showed no signs of pain, instead jerking his arm back and watching the saber stumble around before it hit the ground, slowly dissipating into smoke. "Need help?" He asked Shirou.
"Rhys's attention diverted to Ryuusei as he mentioned food; food would always come first for her. "Hey,' she said, sounding affronted. "I don't lie when it comes to food, and that restaurant's pizza is by far the best I've tasted in several worlds." As far as she was concerned.
Rhys winced when the kid was struck by Agnidev, for a moment guiltily wondering if it had been her fault he got hurt...but then, he should have paid more attention. He threw up and Rhys took a few steps back, not that she wasn't far enough from him but...just in case.
The sound of crumbling stone caught her attention and she turned to see the building crumble to the floor, ghostly claws above it and a form beneath them. Rhys's eyes widened as she recognized the young woman. "Hey,' she called out to the three near Olette. "Don't hurt her! She's not bad!" She scrambled to get to them, not really knowing what she would do. Rhys still remembered this Sorceress, she had helped Rhys finally get away from her pursuers, had taught her stuff that had come in handy; she couldn't just stand by while she was hurt...which made Rhys wonder...why was Olette fighting those three?
Resetting the Board  Empty Re: Resetting the Board
Post by Dark Tue Mar 24, 2015 9:30 pm
The young woman stared through quiet, unfeeling eyes as the three women spoke, two readying to attack her phantom claws, while the third went to help another. Olette's gaze fell on that boy, her violet-blue eyes seeming to warm for a moment with what might be emotion, but it was soon gone and she turned to look at Hotone as she began to attack her phantom claws.
The claws jerked backward at the strikes, then came back, floated back once more, their visibility dropping, but they didn't quite disappear and the young woman beneath them patiently waited, her unfeeling gaze focused on nothing in particular, until Moriko made a move towards her; Olette's violet-blue gaze turned to the girl, though she didn't move to attack or defend.
"Crystal Wall!" Light flickered between Moriko and Olette, solidifying into a wall of clear crystal that blocked her attack; from above a light blue feather drifted down to land on Moriko's shoulder, harmless, but bringing attention to the young woman with white hair pulled back into braided buns on her head; the hair was decorated by blue feathers fading into black, and the feathers on the wings on her back started as a glimmering blue, faded to purple then black. She held a black lance topped by a sapphire gem cut into a diamond shape in her right hand, and cheerful, yet serious purple eyes stared down at Moriko.
The young woman smiled down at her. "Sorry, but The Mage of Ages doesn't like it when you hurt Olette, she's far too important to him." The wall of crystal in front of Moriko had fallen and Olette stepped past the girl, past Hotone even as the sorceress's phantom claws continued to attack. She paused near Ryuusei and Natsuko, pointing her scepter at Ryuusei. "Seraphic Feathers." White feathers rained down on him and Riquel, further back; the feathers faded into their skin, healing if possible. "I hope that helps,' she turned and walked back, ignoring Rhys as she called out Olette's name.
"That's as much help as I can offer,' Olette raised her scepter, the crystals in it glimmering brightly, and in turn the phantom claws grew, throbbing with power.
"Skuld,' Olette looked up at the young woman; the cheerfulness in the girl's eyes had disappeared, now showing nothing but serious intent. "I know."
The girl pointed her scepter down at the group, the sapphire glowing brightly. "Boy!" The girl called down to Ryuusei. "Either fight as a God would, or stay down and die along with the rest of the group!" The sapphire on her lance began to glow brighter as she spoke. "Because this is the en- what!?" The young woman was caught off guard as white wings spread out before her, Rhys kicking out with her leg; the kick caught at the young woman's lance, ripping it from her hand and letting it fall to the ground beneath them.
"Hey, catch it!" Rhys called down to Moriko. "That's a valkyrie's weapon, maybe you can figure out how to use it against them! And someone, take Olette's scepter from her! without it, her power will be cut in half!" She turned back to the girl in front of her just in time to see Skuld pull out a sword, and Rhys struck, punching the girl in the stomach and blowing her away, throwing her down to the ground where the Valkyrie tumbled end over end for a few feet before coming to a stop in a heap on the ground.
Rhys quickly settled on the ground, scratching at her head. 'Damn, this stupid horns are friggin itchy!'
