- Character's History -

PAST HISTORY: Marina has no memories of her father or mother. The only
information she knows about her Mother is what is spoken throughout the world.
Nobody will mention her father. At the age of 14, and with the aid of Xellos,
she forcefully sent herself through the time stream, back to meet her parents.


GOALS/MISSION: Find out why nobody will tell her about her parents, and perhaps
find a way to remove the embedded Dark Lord shard.

PAST NOTE: At the age of 14, fed up with nobody giving her the answers she
wanted, she requested the help of a Demon who had a long time ‘friendship’ with
her mother. This demon was Xellos.  She took with her an artifact, something
that perhaps she could use to get her mother’s attention. This was a shard of
the dark lord, encased inside of a powerful enchantment. 

The world she ended up in was that of modern day Japan. Xellos assured her that
in due time, her mother would arrive as well.

At 15, she managed to break the enchantment seal of the shard, and performed a
ritual that to this day she regrets and suffers from. She forced the shard to
merge with her body, seeking the power it held, and believing she could control
it.  The shard currently resides embedded in her chest, underneath a scar that
runs from between her breasts to half way down to her navel. The results of the
process were immediate. At attempt to heal herself afterwards, proved painful
beyond belief. She could no longer use divine magic’s or any form of white
magic to heal herself due to the demonic shard inside. 

Two years have passed, and she is aware that she was followed from her time by
someone, but has so far avoided them.

SHARD OF SHABRANIDGO: The shard feeds off normal magic energy, and is sentient.
Since it was improperly sealed into her body, when she is weak, or her
will falters, the shard can temporarily control her body.  In this form, her
eyes both turn red. Can also feed power to the shard of her own will.

BELT NOTE: The Belt of Beloth the Wise was given to Marina as a parting gift by
Oro before she went off to the current realm and time she is in.

This belt once belonged to Beloth the Wise, a figure mentioned in the scroll
The Year of Darkness. It is made of blue and black threads, woven closely into
an interlocking pattern showing a picture of a coiling Lian'i Vine. On the belt
are the most perfect gems in all of the Red Orb/Sea of Chaos. There are twelve
diamonds on it; four white, four black, one red, one blue, one yellow, and one
brown. Each stone is about an inch across. The stones were gathered long ago by
Dragon riders of legend. Some were won over in battle, while others were mined
or traded for with the dwarves. While the gems hold no magic of their own,
energy can be stored there for withdrawal at a later date. 

AUTHOR NOTE: I know this character seems like a very odd character, but I’m
trying something new here, and I think she’s going to be a lot of fun to play.
I know she’s a toss up of a lot of stereotypes, but that’s the joy of this.


A misguided sorceress, performs what could only be considered as a taboo.

A girl seeks knowledge of her parents.

She may look powerful, and that was not my direct goal, so much as I wanted to
pack a lot into a character. She’s basically on the same power level as Lina
would be, except for the times when the shard takes over. Those moments can
more be thought of as along the lines of Lina using the Giga Slave. Far and
very few.

I’m sure people will have fun interacting with her.
